SOLUTION: A claw type clutch/locking device formed of the composite of a clutch device for interrupting the driving force transmission to a dehydration tub with a device for locking the dehydration tub in washing is provided with a cylindrical housing 7a extending through the bottom wall of an outer tub. A dehydration shaft 7e is supported within the housing 7a in watertight state so as to extend through it. A spline 7j is formed on the lower end circumference of such a dehydration shaft 7e, and a slider 7i is engaged therewith in such a manner as to be axially slidable. The slider 7i has, on the upper end, an upper uneven part 7n to be claw-engaged with a locking uneven part 7g formed on the lower edge of the housing 7a in the upward movement to lock the dehydration shaft 7e by the claw engagement of the both.

A hollow dehydration shaft 7e is supported in watertight state by bearings 7b, 7c and a water seal 7d, and a washing shaft 7f is supported in watertight state within the dehydration shaft 7e. In the molding of the outer tub 1, the housing 7a is formed by insert molding so as to extend through the bottom wall of the outer tub 1 in the sub-assembled state where the bearings 7b, 7c are press-fitted thereto. According to this, the manufacture can be facilitated, and the weight can also be reduced.

SOLUTION: In dehydration process, dehydration is started after the drain valve 10a of a drain electric valve is opened to end the draining, and a driving motor 9 is started in 6-pole constitution to accelerate a dehydration tub, and then switched to 2-pole constitution to rotate the dehydration tub at high speed. At this time, in order to transmit the generating torque of the driving motor 9 to the dehydration tank, a slide collar 7i, which is the slider of a clutch device, is lowered, and a lower projection 7p is fitted to the engagement hole 7m of a pulley 7k and claw-engaged therewith. This claw engagement is performed by the spring force when a driving lever 10b is rotated to open an operation lever 7r simultaneously with the opening of the drain valve 10a in the drain electric valve.

The shell plate 3 of the washing and dewatering basket is provided with many dewatering holes 3a, and a lower fluid balancer 11 brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of a base plate 4 is fitted to the periphery of the rotary blade 2 installed in the center. In this case, a drain passage 7 is provided in the outer peripheral flange part of the lower fluid balancer 11. A washing liquid flowing through the drain passage 7 is discharged from the drain passage 8 of the base plate 4 through a gap 6 between the lower fluid balaner 11 and the base plate 4 to be guided to a back blade 2a through a passage 9. Thus, a washing liquid can be effectively introduced between the outer basket 1 and the washing and dewatering basket.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the damage of a clutch and enhance the reliability of the clutch by controlling the clutch for transmitting/non-transmitting the rotation of an electric motor to a washing basket so that the drive force is transmitted or non-transmitted to the washing basket in the state where a rotor constituting the electric motor is rested. SOLUTION: The connection/disconnection control of a claw clutch 47 interposed in a passage for transmitting the drive force of an electric motor to a washing basket 2 is performed in the state where a rotor 45 constituting the electric motor is rested. When no current is carried to an electromagnetic coil 47a, a sliding element 47c is laid in the state pressed down by a spring 47d, and when the rotor 45 is rotated in this state, an outside input shaft part 35d and an inside input shaft part 36d are rotated together to rotate an agitating blade 4 and the washing basket 2 at the same rotating speed. When current is carried to the electromagnetic coil 47a, the sliding element 47c is attracted to the lower part of an electromagnetic iron core 47b against the spring 47d by the electromagnetic force. In this state, the agitating blade 4 is rotated without rotating the washing basket 2.
