    • PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal element which can lessen various kinds of unequal display, such as striped unequal static electricity due to rubbing, unequal damage of active elements, unequal display like white dots and unequal luminance, and to greatly improve display quality and product yield in the final so as to reduce the cost by forming the oriented films of orientation control layers of an org. high- molecular substance having a specific glass transition temp. CONSTITUTION:The oriented films 17 of the orientation control layers are formed out of an org. high-molecular substance having the glass transition temp. 150 to 280 deg.C. Wire-shaped source electrodes 3 and common electrodes 4 are formed on the inner side of a pair of the transparent substrates 1 and the oriented films 17 are applied thereon and are subjected to an orientation treatment. A liquid crystal material is interposed therebetween during these treatments. Bar-shaped liquid crystal molecules 5 are so oriented as to have an angle of 45 to 90 deg. to the longitudinal direction of striped source electrodes 3 at the time of not impressing electric fields. The liquid crystal molecules 5 change their directions to be in the electric field direction when the electric field 7 is impressed. Changing of the light transmittance by electric field impression is made possible by arranging polarizing plates 2 at the transmission axes 8 of the polarizing plates.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the polyamide which is improved in characteristics by low-temp. baking and has high solubility to facilitate etching and redissolution by forming the polymer of the composition of arom. dicarboxylic acid or its reactive acid deriv. and the compsn. of specific arom. diamine. CONSTITUTION:This polyamide is the polymer of the arom. dicarboxylic acid or its reactive acid deriv. and the compsn. of the arom. diamine expressed by formula. In the formula, n denotes an integer from 1 to 18; X denotes 1 to 4C alkyl group; a, b denote 0, 1 or 2. The arom. diamine preferably contains 10 to 90mol diamine expressed by formula and 90 to 10mol other diamine. Substrates with which the defect of coating films and the gap defects of display elements arise are easily peeled and regenerated if the polymer is used for various electronic parts, for example, the oriented films of the liquid crystal display elements. Unequal brightness is thus improved in terms of characteristics as well. Even if the polymer is used for the insulating films, etc., of semiconductor elements, the baking temp. is low and, therefore, stress migration, etc., are suppressed as the thermal stresses acting on aluminum wiring layers are less generated.
