    • PURPOSE: To increase the heat transfer rate of a heat accumulator by circulating the fluid not solidifying at the working temperature range of a solidifying heat accumulating material.
      CONSTITUTION: A pump 11 is provided outside a heat accumulating tank 1. Said pump 11 and the liquid 3 ns said heat accumulating tank 1 are interconnected by a liquid discharge pipe 12 and a liquid suction pipe 13. Silicon or transformer oil for example is used as said liquid 3 when calcium chloride hydrate for example is used as said heat accumulating material 2. Said fluid 3 in said heat accumulating tank 1 flows in said pump 11 from said suction pipe 13 and is returned to said heat accumulating tank 1 through said discharge pipe 12. Therefore, the outer surface of a cooler 4 is subjected to forced covection of said liquid 3 so that the rate of the heat transfer from the interface between said heat accumulating material 2 and liquid 3 to said cooler 4 is increased. Thus, the efficiency of said heat accumulator increases.
