    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural evaporation humidifier that can be reduced in material cost and, in addition, in manufacturing cost by reducing the assembling man-hour of the humidifier.
      SOLUTION: A water supply route 64 housing a water supply pipe 56 is formed of a long cover 60 having an opening on one side of its cross section and a long water absorbing member 62 covering the opening in the cross section of the cover 60. Many plate-shaped evaporating members 70 and many corrugated evaporating members 72 are alternately and adjacently arranged below an evaporating member assembly 68 provided with auxiliary water absorbing members 78 on one of the corrugated evaporating member 72 so that the upper surface of the uppermost auxiliary water absorbing member 78 may come into contact with the lower surface of the water absorbing member 62. Consequently, the water discharged from the water supply pipe 56 can be infiltrated into the evaporating members 70 and 72 from the water absorbing member 62 through the auxiliary water absorbing members 78.

A flow passage width (Pb) consisting of a second short side S2 and a partition part 6 is narrower than a flow passage width (Pa) consisting of the first long side L1 and the partition part 6 and wider than a flow passage width (Pc) consisting of the second long side L2 and the partition part 6.

A drain water passage, which communicates with the inside of the cylinder-shaped diffusion element 40, is provided inside the humidification element main body 12 where the humidification supply water, which overflows at the cylinder-shaped diffusion element, is introduced to a drain pan 18 by way of the drain water air.

    • PURPOSE:To prolong the switching life of a valve, by stopping a compressor for a predetermined period of time through a timer or the like immediately before switching a four-way valve, bringing the pressure on the discharging side and the pressure on the suction side close to each other to thereby reduce a pressure difference between the two sides, and then switching the four-way valve. CONSTITUTION:A dehumidifier comprises a refrigeration cycle, a blower, an electric apparatus, and a cabinet and stays for assembling them, the refrigeration cycle comprising an evaporator, a reheater, a condenser and a few kinds of heat exchangers and being capable of a cooling operation and a reheating and dehumidifying operation by controlling these components by a four-way valve and a solenoid valve. In the dehumidifier, when a signal for switching from the cooling operation to the reheating and dehumidifying operation or vice versa is outputted, a timer is operated, and a compressor is stopped. As a result, the pressures on the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side of the refrigeration cycle are brought closer to the saturation pressure of the atmosphere at that moment, so that the pressure difference across the four-way valve is reduced. Then, with the time set on the timer is up, a switching signal for the four-way valve is outputted, only after which the valve is switched. The pressure difference across the four-way valve is small at the time of switching the valve, so that the switching life of the valve can be prolonged.
