    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop type vaporizing humidifier which prevents water from springing out from an air outlet of an air discharge passage or the like of an air conditioner even in the case when a water repellent substance is included in a humidified water supply or in the case when the humidified water supply quantity is increased resultant from the operational failure of a water supply control device of the humidifier. SOLUTION: A pipe insertion hole is provided in a humidification element main body 12 having a water holding property and a water suction property and a ventilating property where a water supply pipeline 14, which supplies humidification water, is provided in the pipe insertion hole. This humidifier comprises a cylinder-shaped diffusion element 40, which comprises a raw material which adsorbs a substance having water holding, water suction and water repellent properties inside the pipe insertion hole of the humidification element main body 12 and outside the water supply pipeline 14. A drain water passage, which communicates with the inside of the cylinder-shaped diffusion element 40, is provided inside the humidification element main body 12 where the humidification supply water, which overflows at the cylinder-shaped diffusion element, is introduced to a drain pan 18 by way of the drain water air.

    • PURPOSE:To accelerate the activation of a catalyst as well as to aim at the simplification of a device in terms of structure and the promotion of low-unit cost of production by igniting a burner simultaneously with engine starting, thereby heating the catalyst, and when a catalytic temperature has become more than the specified value, stopping a combustion of the burner. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust emission control device is provided with a catalytic chamber 12 set up in an exhaust pipe 10 and a burner 14 being installed in close proximity to the upstream of this catalytic chamber 12 and ignited simultaneously with the start of an engine 38. In addition, it is also provided with a branch pipe 18 being branched off from a fuel feed pipe 16 and feeding the burner 14 with fuel, an air blower 20 for feeding the burner 14 with air from the time of igniting the burner 14, a temperature detector 22 detecting a catalyst temperature, and a car-mounted electronic control unit 24, respectively. In this constitution, the burner 14 is ignited simultaneously with engine starting, heating the catalyst as specified, and when the catalytic temperature has become more than the specified value, the burner combustion is stopped. Thus, activation in the catalyst is accelerated, whereby simplification in this device and low-unit cost production are all well promotable.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural vaporization type humidifier equipped with an air-conditioner without using any electric part by providing a water feed valve to open through operation of a thermally-actuating device when the temperature of heated air exceeds a prescribed value and close when it is below the prescribed value. SOLUTION: A water feed valve 23 is opened through operation of a thermally-actuating device 22 when the temperature of air flowing through a heat-exchanger 4 is increased to a prescribed value and closed when it is below the given value. When a wax thermo is used as the thermally-actuating device 22, the wax thermo is expanded and a spindle 22-1 is advanced. When the temperature of air flowing through the heat-exchanger 4 is increased to a prescribed value, an valve element 28 is pressed down against urging of a spring 29 and the water feed valve 23 is opened. When the wax thermo is contracted and the spindle 22-1 is moved backward, the water feed valve 23 is closed through urging of the spring 29. This constitution eliminates a fear of leak occurring and dissolves a problem on malfunction due to the error of wiring.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of humidifying capacity by a method wherein a humidifier is provided with a humidifying unit, constituted of a plurality of superposed plate type members to humidify air, flowing the vicinity thereof, by the natural evaporation of water, and a water supplying unit, supplying water into the humidifying unit. SOLUTION: Water is supplied until at least the lower end 12b of the water supplying unit 12 of a humidifying element 10 is dipped into the water. Water in a water tank is sucked up by capillary effect from the lower end 12b of the water supplying unit 12 through the plate type members 11, 13 and gaps K between them. The sucked water is moved from the water supplying unit 12 of the humidifying element 10 into a humidifying unit 14 and, further, toward the lower end unit 14b of the humidifying unit 14. Water in the plate type members 11, 13 of the humidifying element 10 and the gaps K between them is dripped onto a drain pan by syphon effect. Air, passing through the humidifying unit 14 and containing moisture, can receive the moisture, evaporated from the surface of the humidifying unit 14. Air, humidified in such a manner, is discharged out of the air outlet port. According to this method, the deterioration of humidifying capacity can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To compensate a non-linear characteristic of LED without adjustment and automatically and to make a low skew analog light transfer low-priced and mass produce by installing, at the receiving side, a skewness detecting circuit to detect a skew component of the transfer signal and a skewness compensating circuit to operate so that the skew component can be minimum in accordance with the detecting quantity of the skewness detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A light input signal inputted from an input signal 1 passes through a LED driving circuit 3 and drives LED4 as it does. The light output signal of LED4 is transferred by a light transmission line, and converted to an electric signal by a photo-detecting element 6. The electric signal is amplified by a receiving amplifier 7 and inputted to a skewness compensating circuit 12. In the electric signal inputted to the skewness compensating circuit 12, the skew component is detected by a skewness detecting circuit 13. The skewness compensating circuit 12, based upon the skewness quantity detected by the skewness detecting circuit13, automatically adjusts so that the skew part detected by the skewness detecting circuit 13 may be minimum. Thus, by compensating the non-linear characteristic of LED without adjustment and automati cally, the low skewness analog light transfer can be mass-produced low-pricedly.

    • PURPOSE:To execute automatic temperature control so that noise is always suppressed less than an allowable value by comparing a noise variable superposed to a transmitting optical signal with the noise allowable value and controlling the value of current flowing into an electric/thermal conversion element on the basis of the compared result. CONSTITUTION:An LD driving circuit 7 generates an optical signal from a semiconductor laser 8 in accordance with a picture signal outputted from a wide band picture signal supplying device 6. A monitoring photodiode 16 detects noise in said optical signal. The noise allowable value is previously set up in a noise detecting/discriminating circuit 17, which compares the allowable value with the peak value of the detected noise and generates a signal '1' or '0'. When the detected noise value is larger than the allowable value, the signal '1' is outputted and a temperature control circuit 13 is controlled so as to start to seat a temperature areareducing the noise of a laser 8. In the reverse case, the signal '0' is outputted and the control circuit 13 is stopped to hold the current temperature. Thus, the laser is automatically set up to the temperature area always keeping low noise.
