    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work edge detection mechanism that allows a user to clearly view the work edge by an alignment camera without adding an illumination device, and to provide a work transferring mechanism utilizing the same.SOLUTION: The work edge detection mechanism is composed of a tubular body having an opening at one end and a blocking member at the another end. The mechanism includes: a light-reflecting means provided on the lower-surface side of the blocking member in order to reflect light entering from the opening. The mechanism is configured such that the inner diameter (φ 2) on the side of the blocking member is larger than the inner diameter (φ 1) on the side of the opening of the tubular body. If an air suction port is bored inside the tubular body while a vacuum suction head is disposed at the upper part of the tubular body, it allows detection of the work edge while allowing work transfer by vacuum suction.
