    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device and an inspection method for a diffuser of a jet pump, capable of moving and installing accurately a sensor of an inspection device body, wherein inspection position accuracy is excellent and an inspection work is simple.
      SOLUTION: In this inspection device for the diffuser, the inspection device body 2 is inserted into the diffuser from which an inlet mixer is dismounted, and inspection is performed from the inner surface by the sensor of the inspection device body 2, and the inspection device body 2 is arranged movably in a protection cylinder 1 inserted inside from an upper opening of the diffuser. A positioning member 5 on which a recessed groove 6 is formed used as a position regulation means is provided on the upper end of the protection cylinder 1, and the recessed groove 6 is engaged with a projection part on the upper end of the diffuser. The inspection device body 2 is constituted of an axial-direction moving means 10 for adjusting a height-direction position of the sensor 43, a circumferential-direction driving means 20 for adjusting circumferential-direction movement of the sensor, a clamp 30 of the position regulation means for pressing the inspection device body onto the diffuser inner surface, and a sensor means 40 for inspecting an inspection object portion.

      SOLUTION: In the apparatus, a specimen 12 is set on a surface 14 of a contact glass in an image scanner 11. An outer illuminator 16 illuminates the specimen 12 from above so that the specimen 12 is in the range of the illumination, and a raster shape image of the specimen 12 is obtained and processed into a binary image. Then the binary image is converted into a vector image by a raster vector converting section 23, and the dimension of the specimen 12 is measured.

During non-destructive inspection, the movable C-shaped ring 11 is moved from one side of the welded part to the either side thereof and the welded part is inspected from both sides by the probe 55.
