摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a geared cable with a limited resistance free from noise at sliding by forming a synthetic resin layer on the inner surface of a metal tube- like article in such a manner as to be rich in the smoothness and wear resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin sheet or film 9 rich in smoothness and the wear resistance is applied on one surface of a metal strip 8 and then molded with a circular section with the sheet or film inside aby roll molding in such a manner as to form an opening with a certain width lengthwise. The synthetic resin sheet or film can be a flat 9a, an isolated plate 9b, a convex-concave plate 9c or a corrugated plate 9d in the shape. Even if a wire slides in the cable thus obtained, there won't be a trouble such as the generation of noise and increased resistance due to the exsitence of the synthetic resin layer excellent in the smoothness and wear resistance.

CONSTITUTION: Resin tapes compatible with the molding material are stuck in advance to portions to mount a molding such as rubber for metallic core material, shock absorbing material of synthetic material etc., weatherstrip, etc. The metallic core material is supplied into an extrusion molding machine, the molding material is extruded in the desired shape and at the same time stuck to the resin tape to form the metallic core material in a unitary body with the molding. Then, the desired molding is prepared through cooling treatment.
