CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus of measuring gas densities from the potential difference of the electrodes in a reference chamber 1a and a measuring chamber 1b in a measuring part provided with the chambers 1a and 1b, a heating device 5 composed of only the heat conduction pipes 11 is disposed in a measuring target gar (for example, HCl gas) sampling part 2 from sample gas such as exhaust gas of incineration furnaces, without using any thermostatic chamber. One end of the heating device 5 is connected to the sampling part 2, and the other end forms double pipes 11a, 11b. After gas absorbing liquid L passes the outer pipe 11a, it passes the inside pipe 11b, and the liquid L' having absorbed the gas is sent into the measuring chamber 1b via a flow passage 6 and a heat exchanger 4. In this way, dewing of moisture on the walls of the pipes 11a, 11b is obviated. Calibrating liquid of the volume necessary for substituting the liquid in the flow passage 6 and the measuring chamber 1b is beforehand stored in the tanks 12, 12' and is quickly supplied therefrom for to substitute the absorbing liquid.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of a chassis dynamometer device and reduce cost by mechanically connecting the shaft of a revolution roller for placing the tire of a test vehicle and the shaft of a flywheel through a speed change mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A speed change mechanism 5 converts the revolution of a revolution roller 1 to the pulse signal of an input shaft speed detector 6 by a frequency/voltage converter 15. When the signal exceeds a certain value, the set speed change ratio (k) supplied by a speed change ratio setting device 13 and the speed change position detecting signal (actually measured speed change ratio (k)) detected by a speed change position detector 9 are compared-calculated by a calculator 11, and set to an aimed speed change position by a pilot motor 8. The actually measured speed change ratio (k) of the controlled speed change mechanism 5 is monitored at all times, and controlled so that the actually measured speed change ratio (k) accords with a set speed change ratio K in the increased speed region for a test vehicle, and the arbitrary inertia quantity is obtained continuously. In this case, the inertia quantity observed from the shaft 3 side of the roller 1 can be set to k times of the inertia quantity of a flywheel (g).

    • PURPOSE:To provide a converter, which prevents various troubles from being generated thereby to maintain the most proper operations, by providing two independent gas passages in a juxtaposed or dual condition and by charging the passages with oxidizing and reducing catalysts in a preset heatable manner. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical catalyst tube 14 having its both ends opened is inserted into a catalyst tube 15 having a larger diameter thereby to provide a dual tube construction. The smaller catalyst tube has its passage C charged with a first NO2 reducing catalyst 16. The other passage D is charged at its upstream portion with an NH3 oxidizing catalyst 16 and at its downstream portion with a second NO2 reducing catalyst 18 substantially at the same position as the first-named reducing catalyst 16. A first heater 20 is mounted on the outer circumference of the charging portion of the catalyst 17, and a second heater 20 is mounted on the outer circumference of the charging portion of the second catalysts 16 and 18. The two heaters 20 are connected through temperature controllers 21 and 22 with a power source.

    • PURPOSE:To use the providing space efficiently by aligning and attaching a plurality of step members to an endless-rotation transmitting member to which the main body of a chassis dinamometer is attached, and containing the unused step parts in the lower part of a pit in correspondence with the position of the main body. CONSTITUTION:When a screw shaft 7 is rotated, a main body 2 of a chassis dinamometer is slid to the position shown by a solid line. Then, a chain 9 is turned, and a step member 12 on the right side of the main body 2 of the chassis dinamometer is slid to the bottom side of a pit, and a step member 12 on the left side is slid to the side of the opening part of the pit 1. The opening pat of the pit 1 is sequentially closed with the step members 12. In this way, a part of a step 11 which is no longer used is contained in the lower part in the pit in correspondence with the position of the main body 2 of the chassis dinamometer. Therefore, the length of the step which is exposed at the opening part of the pit 1 can be made to correspond approximately to the length required for mounting a vehicle under test.
