    • PURPOSE:To smooth the falling of snow in a tank by self-weight of the snow by providing a constriction to a snow throwing port of the upper part of the snow-melting tank equipped with a heater to the bottom thereof to make small a throwing area, and preventing thrown snow from adhering to the internal wall of the tank. CONSTITUTION:A constriction 8 is provided to the upper part of circumferential wall of a snow-melting tank 2, and the area of a snow-throwing port makes smaller than the inside area of the snow-melting tank 2. Snow is thrown into the tank 2 through a grating 9 provided to an upper opening of the tank 2, thrown snow is heated by a heater 5 on the bottom thereof to change it into water, and snow into the tank 2 is subsequently lowered by self-weight of the snow. After the snow in the tank is melted, it is detected by a sensor 7, and power to the heater 5 is disconnected. Melt water is drained. According to the constitution, snow is not made to adhere to the inside wall of the tank, and the falling of snow can be made smoothly.

    • PURPOSE:To get a mean electrical power load by a method wherein a heating tower is operated to collect heat from surrounding air, the heat is accumulated in a heat accumulating tank acting as a low temperature heat source, the accumulated heat in the heat accumulation tank is applied as a heat source, and a heat pump is operated in a low electrical power load time range to get a high temperature heat source. CONSTITUTION:A heating tower with a cooling capability of 20 horsepower and having antifreeze (-10 deg.C) is operated for about 10 hours at a daytime with a surrounding air temperature of about 0 deg.C to 5 deg.C to collect heat with a temperature of antifreeze of -5 deg.C and a total quantity of heat of 500Mcal and store it in a heat collecting tank 5. Then, a heat pump 7 is operated with the antifreeze in the heat accumulating tank 5 being applied as a heat source at a nighttime of a low electrical power load time range to get hot water having a temperature of 50 deg.C. A coefficient of performance of the heat pump 7 is 2.4. This hot water is used as a part of a mean heating load of 70Mcal/h as a heating operation at 8:00 to 18:00 of a high electrical power load time range (10 hours) with a temperature difference of 10 deg.C and an efficiency of 0.85. Then, it is possible to get a mean electrical power load.
