摘要： PURPOSE:To improve dispersibility by using a mixture of a specified electric charge controlling agent with carbon. CONSTITUTION:This electric charge controlling agent compsn. is a mixture of one or more kinds of electric charge controlling agents with carbon and the electric charge controlling agents are selected among basic dyes, pigments derived from basic dyes, phthalocyanine, dyes derived from phthalocyanine, disperse dyes, quat. ammonium salts, org. phosphorus compds., organotin compds., imidazole compds., org. carboxylic acids, metallic complex salts of org. carboxylic acids, org. boron compds. and phenol derivs. The carbon can be used independently of its pH, particle diameter, hue, etc. It is not restricted to carbon used for a toner so far and any carbon satisfying the degree of coloring as a toner and attaining uniform dispersion with the electric charge controlling agents may be used. The pref. average particle diameter of the carbon is 0.01-5mum. The ratio between the electric charge controlling agents and the carbon is within the range of (200:1)-(1:200), preferably (20:1)-(1:20).

Said image forming substance can be used by employing the above mentioned basic dye alone or by combining two or more of basic dyes.
