摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeding device for an ash melting furnace capable of efficiently feeding ash without stopping advancing/retreating movement of a pusher. SOLUTION: The pusher 25 is situated in a casing 23 for the ash feeding device, a member 26 for scratching up is mounted on the lower edge on the front side of the pusher 25 throughout the whole width of the pusher 25, and members 27 and 27 for scraping are mounted on two corner parts 25b and 25b of the upper part on the front side of the pusher 25. Thus, since by the member 26 for scratching up and the member 27 for scratching, ash is prevented from entering between the under surface part of the pusher 25 and the casing 23 and between two corner parts 25b and 25b at the upper part of the push 25 and the casing 23, ash can be efficiently fed in a furnace body without stopping advancing/retreating movement of the pusher 25.

Adjusting bolts and nuts 33A to 33E, which connect the movable flanges 31A and 31B in such a manner that they can freely approach to and separate from each other within a predetermined range, are provided. An expanding and contracting cover 35 having the elasticity to cover both movable flanges 31A and 31B is mounted to the outer peripheral part of the outer ducts 23a and 23b, and also a heat insulating material 36 having the properties of expansion and contraction is filled between the movable flanges 31A and 31B, and in the expanding and contracting cover 35.

SOLUTION: A plasma ash melting furnace is adapted such that an ash introduction hole 8 is formed in one side of a furnace body 1 where base metal is contained on the bottom, and a slag drawing hole is formed in the other side, and further ash melting plasma electrodes 3A, 3B are suspended from the top wall. In the furnace, there is provided electromagnetic induction metal stirrer including a solenoid stirring part provided on a side wall 1c and the bottom wall of the furnace body 1, which stirring part serves to pass a magnetic flux through the interior of the base metal to fluidize the base metal. Molten slag is mixed and stirred by use of the fluidization of the base metal.

SOLUTION: In an slag discharge weir of an ash melting furnace 1, a cooling water path 15 is formed in the body of a weir comprising a highly heat conducting material while the surface thereof is lined by a refractory layer 13 and a discharge groove 14 in which a self coating hardened layer 3a is to be formed by a melt slag 3 is formed in the body of the weir and the refractory layer 13. The cross section of the discharge groove 14 is shaped in the figure of V so as to make the thickness of the self-coating hardened layer 3a almost even on a transverse surface thereof. The self-coating hardened layer 3a enables protection of the surface of the discharge groove 14 while stabilizing the flow of a melted slag 3.

摘要： PURPOSE: To stabilize plasma arc at startup and reduce the running cost CONSTITUTION: A plasma type ash fusion furnace supplies a plasma activating gas to a cathode 3A and an anode 3B, which are disposed in a fusion chamber 2, to generate plasma arc between a base metal 8 in the fusion chamber 2 and the electrodes 3A, 3B, thus fusing ash with the generated heat energy. In operating the fusion furnace, a gaseous nitrogen is supplied as the plasma activating gas at startup, and when a normal operation begins, the plasma activating gas is switched over to steam from the gaseous nitrogen such that steam is used as the plasma activating gas at the normal operation. Accordingly, the gaseous nitrogen stabilizes plasma arc in the fusion chamber which is low in temperature, and the use of steam at the normal operation can suppress the running cost.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily heat molten slag having high electric resistance with Joule heat and also easily hold a temperature thereof at a fixed level by inserting electrode torches into the molten slag after an object to be melted has been once melted by plasma arc. CONSTITUTION:In the case of melting treatment of incineration residue and flying ashes, incinerated ashes A are first filled on a melting base metal 2 packed in a melting chamber 1a. Then, a predetermined voltage is applied to a space between a pair of electrode torches 3, 4 disposed above the incinerated ashes A. Working gas B is ejected through holes 3a, 4a of the electrode torches, and the incinerated ashes A are heated up to a predetermined temperature by plasma arc to be melted. When the incinerated ashes A are melted to a certain degree, both the electrode torches 3, 4 are made to descend, and their lower ends are inserted into molten slag. Then, an electric current is caused to flow through the molten slag between both the electrode torches 3, 4, and joule heat is generated, whereby the molten slag is further heated to be held at a fixed temperature.

SOLUTION: A metal discharge outlet 28 is provided independently of a slag discharge outlet for overflowing an increased fraction of molten metal 9, and molten slag 10 and the molten metal 9 are separated with the other side wall 26 of a storage tank 5, and further an increased fraction of the molten metal 9 is overflowed from a metal discharge outlet 33 of the metal discharge outlet part 28 so that the molten metal 9 and the molten slag 10 are prevented from being mixed to prevent the quality of the molten slag 10 from being deteriorated.
