    • PURPOSE:To stabilize a combustion state without changing an igniting position by a method wherein a small diameter part forming a drying zone is provided with a hopper for feeding materials to be ignited and a primary air supplying port and a stepped part between a large diameter part and a small diameter part forming a combustion zone is provided with a secondary air supplying port while being directed toward the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical main body of a furnace rotatably supported by a rotary supporting roller 11 is comprised of a small diameter part 2 forming a drying zone A and a large diameter part 3 forming a combustion zone B. An end plate 5 at the small diameter part 2 is provided with a feeding hopper 12 for use in feeding material C to be burned and the first supplying port 13 for primary air. An annular wall part 4 acting as a stepped part between the small diameter part 2 and the large diameter part 3 of the furnace main body 1 is provided with the second supplying port 14 for the secondary air in such a manner that the port may direct downwardly. Accordingly, the material to be ignited and fed into the small diameter part 2 is dried at the small diameter part 2, moved toward the large diameter part 3 and the material is positively burned with air supplied from the second air supplying port 14.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of unburned objects in the incineration of city refuse and industrial waste by forming a secondary combustion chamber into a combustion gas circulating flow chamber to form a vortex flow of fuel gas and providing a secondary air nozzle in the combustion gas staying section in the secondary combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A primary combustion chamber 1 with a grate 7 and a secondary combustion chamber 10 that is provided in connection with and above the chamber 1, an exhaust route 4 that leads the generated combustion gas to a flue 3, an exhaust heat recovery device 5, and a heat exchanger 6 for cooling the exhaust gas constitute a combustion gas mixing structure. And the refuse R burns by the primary air from below the grate 7, and the secondary combustion chamber 10 is provided with a secondary air supply nozzle 8 that faces the inlet 10a, and the secondary combustion chamber 10 is made a combustion gas circulating flow chamber for forming combustion gas vortex by the inlet 10a, a guide section 10b, and an outlet 10c. Therefore, the combustion gases in the upstream and in the downstream mix well in the secondary combustion chamber 10 and complete combustion is promoted, and the unburned refuse in the exhaust gas is very much reduced and the generation of dioxine can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a throat damage by high-temp. air by packing a water cooling agent consisting of a water absorptive polymer contg. water into an air permeating part. CONSTITUTION:Since the water absorptive polymer contg. water forms flocculated lumps, the polymer is required to be so formed as not to impair the air permeability in order to function the polymer effectively as the water cooling agent. The examples of the water cooling agent provided with the air permeability in such a manner include the water absorptive polymer which is interposed with granular solid materials 2 between the granular materials 1 of the polymer so as to provide spaces for air permeation between the same, water absorptive polymer fibers 6 which are woven with fibers 7 of another kind so as to have spaces 8 for air permeation, the granular water absorptive polymer which is packed into a slender bag made of a fabric, and the granular water absorptive polymer which is packed into the slender cavity of a supporting piece made of a fabric. Such structure not only improves the air permeability but increases the surface area for preserving water and the contact area with gas and, therefore, the improved water cooling effect is obtd.
