    • PURPOSE:To efficiently execute nitrification and denitrification treatments by respectively forming denitrification vessels which are partitioned to two vessels, upper and lower, by partition walls and have raw water inflow ports in the lower story and nitrification vessels which have outflow water paths for treated water in the upper story and circulate liquids in order of the outflow water paths, pipings and the inflow water paths between the nitrification vessels and the denitrification vessels. CONSTITUTION:The nitrification and denitrification equipments 14 of a biological reaction plate 10 adjacently provided with an aeration tank 12 and plural sets of the nitrification and denitrification equipment 14 are composed by segmenting the main bodies to the nitrification vessels 28 and the denitrification vessels 20 by the partition walls 26. The outflow water paths 38 disposed in the nitrification vessels 28 and the inside of the denitrification vessels 20 are communicated by communicating pipes 52. The inside of the denitrification vessels 20 and the inflow water paths 54 disposed in the nitrification vessels 28 are communicated by communicating pipes 55. The liquid is circulated between both vessels 28 and 20 by the air lift effect from air diffusers 3 of the nitrification vessels 28. As a result, the air 66 from the air diffusers 33 or the liquid of the nitrification vessels 28 having the high concn. of dissolved oxygen are prevented from short passing into the denitrification vessels 20, by which the increase of dissolved oxygen in the denitrification vessels 20 is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a compact solid-liquid separator with which the regeneration of the filter medium can easily be performed and the amount of the waste washing water can be reduced by supplying the raw water to be treated from the storage tank to the filtration chamber in an upward stream, thereafter filtering the raw water with the filter medium layer and at the same time passing the water through the integrated filtration chamber and settling chamber. CONSTITUTION:In this separator, the treating tank 12 is divided with the division plate 14 into integrally structured upper and lower chambers. The upper chamber is the filtration chamber 20 of the raw water to be treated 16 having the filter medium layer 18 and the lower chamber is the settling chamber 26 of the waste washing water 22 of the filter medium 19. The raw water storage chamber 30 is communicated with the filtration chamber 20 and further the lower end of the flock forming pipe 42 is communicated with the settling chamber 26. The liquid level 38 of the raw water storage chamber 30 is set at a level higher than the level 40 of the filtration chamber 20 and the liquid level of the flock forming pipe 42 is set at a level lower than the liquid level 38 of the raw water storage chamber 30. Further the raw water intake pipe 44 is provided with the motor driven telescopic valve 46 and the waste washing water pipe 58 is provided with the valve 56. The plural air nozzles 74 are provided below the filter medium layer 18 and when the filtration capacity of the filter medium 19 is lost, air is jetted from the air nozzles 74 toward the filtration layer 18 to wash it and the waste washing water 22 is transferred to the settling chamber 26.

    • PURPOSE:To make activated sludge and nitrifying bacteria holding carriers hard to sediment and to easily disperse them in water to be treated even if they are sedimented. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air is discharged the water to be treated containing bacteria and bacteria holding carriers stored in an aeration tank 30 from an air diffusion pipe 24 to generate revolving streams between left and right chambers 34, 36 whose upper and lower parts communicate with each other through a partition plate 38. The bottom part of the aeration tank 30 is formed into a circular arc shape in the flow direction of the revolving streams. Since the flow resistance of the bottom part of the aeration tank 30 is reduced, the revolving stream speed in the bottom part of the aeration tank 30 is not decelerated and activated sludge or nitrifying bacteria holding carriers becomes hard to sediment. A water channel forming plate is arranged between the bottom part of the aeration tank 30 and the partition plate 38 to form divided water channels and the flow rate of the water channel can be arbitrarily adjusted by a flow rate control damper. Activated sludge and nitrifying bacteria holding carriers can easily be dispersed even if they are sedimented.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively wash and peel the solid-components sticking to filter media by providing a treating vessel with partition walls in a vertical direction within this vessel in such a manner that the layer width attains a prescribed ratio to the layer height of a floating filter medium layer and providing the vessel with an air ejecting means below the floating filter medium layer so that swirling flow is generated by the air ejecting means within the respective areas of the treating vessel partitioned by these partition walls. CONSTITUTION:The solid-components in raw water which is to be treated and is admitted in upward current into the treating vessel 12 are filtered and separated by the floating filter medium layer 22 which is arranged in the treating vessel 12 and is formed of the many filter media consisting of meshed moldings having the sp. gr. smaller than the sp. gr. of the raw water to be treated and, thereafter, the filtered water is discharged outside the vessel. Such device 10 for separating solid from liquid is provided with the partition walls 44 in the vertical direction of the vessel in such a manner that the layer width W attains the prescribed ratio to the layer height H of the floating filter medium layer 22. The treating vessel is provided with the air ejecting means 46 for ejecting the air into the raw water to be treated below the floating filter medium layer 22. The swirling flow is generated by the air ejecting means 46 in the respective areas A to C of the treating vessel 12 partitioned by the partition walls 44, by which the solid-components sticking to the filter media 20 are washed and separated.
