    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overall size of a hydraulic damper for vibration control by controlling the flow of working fluid between a first working chamber and a second working chamber by means of a single pilot-operated stop valve. SOLUTION: A pilot-operated stop valve 21 has in a valve body 47, a small-diameter hole 77 and a large-diameter hole 79 connected via a valve seat 81. A main valve element 51 with a seat surface 83 seated on the valve seat 81 is slidably fitted in the large-diameter hole 79. The small-diameter hole 77 and the large-diameter hole 79 are connected to a first working chamber 15 and a second working chamber 17 respectively At the back of the main valve element 51, an acting chamber 85 is formed, which is connected to the low-pressure side by a pilot passage 75 in which a pilot valve 55 is interposed. The main valve element 51 has a first pressure receiving surface S1 and a second pressure receiving surface S2 for respectively receiving the pressures of working fluid in the small-diameter hole 77 and the large-diameter hole 79 in the unseated direction. A restriction 61 and a first check valve 65 are interposed in series in a first connecting passage 62 connecting the small-diameter hole 77 and the acting chamber 85. A restriction 63 and a second check valve 67 are interposed in series in a second connecting passage 64 connecting the large-diameter hole 79 and the acting chamber 85.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress useless delivery from a hydraulic pump and to obtain the machining device with a small power loss by controlling, through an inverter, a motor for driving a hydraulic pump in such a manner that, after the pressure of a hydraulic cylinder reaches a target value, if it exceeds the target value, a signal for setting the speed of the hydraulic cylinder in the counter pressurizing direction is made smaller than in other cases. SOLUTION: With a hydraulic cylinder 5 actuated, a machining tool 7 is made closer to a work 6 at high speed. With the position of the hydraulic cylinder 5 measured by a linear scale 9, if the machining tool 7 approaches the work 6, the number of revolution of a motor 2 is reduced, decelerating the speed of the hydraulic cylinder 5. The machining tool 7 comes into contact with the work 6, increasing the pressurizing force. When the pressurizing force measured by a load cell 8 reaches the 60% of a target pressure, the speed of the hydraulic cylinder 5 is further reduced. With the pressurizing force reaching the target pressure, the motor 2 is minutely advanced or retreated thereafter within the time set by a timer, thereby maintaining the pressurizing force at the target value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with cable connection between electric equipment boxes for input by key operation by arranging a signal wire for transmitting a control signal from a control device to an amplifier and a current carrying wire for supplying electric current from a power source circuit to the control device over first and second electric equipment boxes. SOLUTION: An amplifier 7 is arranged on a first electric equipment box 6 arranged on a solenoid proportional valve together with a power source circuit 8. A control device is detachably attached to the electric equipment box independently thereon, and arranged on a second electric euipment box 11 which can be manually held. A signal wire 16 for transmitting control signal from the control device to the amplifier 7 and a current supply wire 15 for supplying electric current from the power source circuit 8 to the control device are arranged over the first and second electric equipment boxes 6 and 11. It is unnecessary to connect a cable additionally for input by key operation, and to disconnect it after compliting input, so that handling is facilitated.
