The cold air flows in a lower part in the room, but as it approaches a heat source, it is heated to be raised, it becomes together with the warm air disposed from the first in an upper part in the room to be released from the room. Thus, the cold air is always replaced, and eventually overflowed from the upper part of the room.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the temperature of fluid to be cooled to be held at a middle and a low value by a method wherein a closed cooling tower and a compression type chiller are combined together. CONSTITUTION:In a cooling device which is necessary to a production line and a research facility for a precision device and stably cools fluid to be cooled, returned from a device to be cooled, to a middle and a low temperature, at which no dew is formed, to feed it to the device, a cooling tower 1 is provided with a heat transfer pipe 2 in a plurality of layers and a fan 3. A chiller 10 is provided with a compressor 11, a water-cooled condenser 12, an expansion vale 13, and a vaporizer 14. After fluid to be cooled returned from a device 20 to be cooled is guided in order of a booster pump 21, the water-cooled condenser 12, a heat transfer 2 of the cooling tower 1, and a vaporizer 14, the fluid to be cooled is fed to the device 20 with the aid of a circulating pump 22. This constitution enables facilitation of execution of a mode of each of operation of only the cooling tower 1, operation of only the chiller 10, and operation of the two devices 1 and 10, resulting in the possibility to easily hold the temperature of the fluid to be cooled at a middle and a low value.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a temperature of cooling water to be kept within a predetermined range of temperature with a minimum amount of energy in correspondence with a variation of temperature of a surrounding air by a method wherein a cooler is connected to an evaporator, a cooled fluid is passed through a cooling part and further passed through the evaporator. CONSTITUTION:A primary thermostat 20 for used in controlling a cooling power for a cooling tower is mounted at a pipe for feeding water from an outlet header 4 to an evaporator 15 during stoppage of a cooler. When the surrounding air shows a low temperature and a temperature of water cooled by a cooling part 1 is less than 20 deg.C of a lower limit value of a set range, the primary thermostat 20 is operated and a pump 7 is stopped for its operation in order to terminate a water dispersion. If the cooling device is further cooled, an operation of a cooling fan 10 is also stopped and a further cooling may not be carried out any more. When a temperature of water cooled by the cooling part 1 and fed to an equipment 18 through the evaporator 15 is more than 25 deg.C of an upper limit of a set range, a secondary thermostat 21 is operated, a compressor 12 is operated so as to cause the feeding water to show a temperature less than 25 deg.C and then it is cooled by the evaporator 15. In this way, it is possible to restrict an amount of energy required for a cooling operation to a minimum value.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent fluid to be cooled from being heated which may occur at a cooling tower by a method wherein a bypass line is formed to a line running through the cooling tower and when a value obtained by subtracting an open air dry bulb temperature from the temperature, at the inlet of a cooling tower, of the fluid to be cooled exceeds a given value, the fluid to be cooled passes the cooling tower, and when it is below the given value, the fluid to be cooled bypasses it. CONSTITUTION:A line is formed such that fluid to be cooled is guided, in order, to a booster pump 21, a valve 25, a heat transfer pipe 2 of a cooling tower 1, a valve 26, and a vaporizer 14, and finally the fluid to be cooled is delivered to a device 20 through a circulating pump 22. The upper stream side of the valve 25 and the downstream side of the valve 26 can be short-circuited therebetween through a bypass line 28 having a valve 27. The temperature, at the inlet of the cooling tower 1, of the fluid to be cooled is detected by a temperature detector 29 and an open air dry ball temperature is detected by a dry bulb temperature detector. Control is effected such that when a temperature difference obtained by subtracting the latter from the former exceeds a given value, the valves 25 and 26 are opened and the valve 27 is closed, and when it is below the set value, the valves 25 and 26 are closed and the valve 27 is opened.

CONSTITUTION:A plurality of medium tubes in each of which refrigerant or heating medium flows are inserted into a heat transfer tube 1, and fluid flowing in the tube 1 is heat exchanged with the medium. The plurality of the tubes 1a-1h are substantially uniformly disposing annularly on an inner periphery of the tube 1, and at least one or more other tubes are inserted to its center. Thus, since the tubes 2a-2h are inserted along the inner periphery of the tube 1, the tubes of the same number as that of prior art can be disposed at a suitable interval, and hence assembling and inserting operations are facilitated. Simultaneously, intervals between the tubes 2a-2h to the tube 1 can be uniformly held. Since the tube inserted into the center embeds an inner wasteful space, a contact rate of the tubes 2a-2h with the fluid is entirely made uniform, thereby improving a heat exchanging efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an operator's load and to uniformly clean by evenly diffus ing the air from an air injection port to an entire operator while a working base for placing the operator is slowly rotated once or twice. CONSTITUTION:A stair tread 19 is rotated at a slow speed of the degree in which an operator placing on it does not feel giddy, and stopped when it is rotated once. If cleanness is required, it can be rotated with more time in the degree to be stopped when it is rotated twice. A blower is operated while the tread 19 is rotated, and clean air is diffused from an air injection port 15 to the operator on the tread 19. Since the operator is slowly rotated in a state that he is stopped on the tread 19, it is not necessary to alter a direction so that the air is diffused to the entire operator as prior art. Accordingly, clean injection air is uniformly brought into contact with the entire operator automatically in a state that he is stood on the tread 19 in a room, and dust adhered to operator's clothing, etc., can be removed.

    • PURPOSE:To enable execution of cooling with saved energy by a method wherein a fluid to be cooled is cooled preferentially by a cooling element of a cooling tower and then cooled by an evaporator of a cooler as occasion demands. CONSTITUTION:A spray water tank 5 is provided above a cooling element 1 formed by laying heat exchanger pipes 2 for cooling in a plurality of layers, and a cooling fan 10 is disposed above the spray water tank 5. In the lower part of a cooling tower constructed in this way, a cooler composed of a compressor 12, a condenser 13, an expansion valve 14 and an evaporator 15 is provided as an attachment. Thermostats 20 and 21 are provided for a piping sending water from an outlet header 4 to the evaporator 15 and for a delivery pipe 17 respectively, and the range of the temperature of water is set to be 20 to 25 deg.C, for instance. By this constitution, the water, which is a fluid to be cooled, is cooled down to 25 deg.C or below by natural cooling only by the cooling element 1, in winter or the like, while it is cooled down by the evaporator 15 with the compressor 12 also operated, in summer or the like. Thus, energy consumption can be reduced to the minimum.

    • PURPOSE:To make the outlet temperature of cooling water accord with a target set value for improving and stabilizing the accuracy of temperature control without time lag even in case an abrupt change in the load occurs, by a method wherein a microcomputer performs judgment and issues the judged results in order to control the air flow rate, the spray water flow rate and the operating number of compressors. CONSTITUTION:The cooling capacity of a cooling apparatus is determined by the following six factors: as to internal conditions, the air flow rate of a fan 2 of an evaporation type closed cooling tower 1 in the preceding stage, the spray water flow rate of a spray pump 3, and the operating number of two or more compressors 11 of a compressing type chillers 10 in the succeeding stage, and as to external conditions, the wet bulb temperature 26 of the atmosphere, the inlet temperature 9 of cooling water, and the cooling water flow rate 16. The characteristics of changes in the capacity corresponding to independent changes in the six factors are stored in a microcomputer 19. The three external conditions are continuously measured, and the size of the load is calculated in relation to the set temperature. And, the three internal conditions, i.e. an operation mode, are decided so as to make the cooling capacity meet the load, and the instructions according this decision are issued.
