    • PURPOSE:To stably record information and to improve the durability of a magnetic disk by providing a specific groove part on the magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 7 of one magnetic head 2 or 3 is made to face a groove 11 of the other magnetic heads 3 or 2, and the magnetic core is brought into contact with a magnetic disk 1 by means of suitable press- contacting force by using the flexibility of the magnetic disk 1. Further on each second foot parts 12 of the first or second magnetic head 2 or 3 arranged on external or internal peripheral side of the magnetic disk 1, a negative pressure generating groove 13, which is made deeper from the upstream side in the rotation direction of the magnetic disk 1 toward the downstream side, is formed, when the disk 1 is rotated at high speed, the negative pressure is generated by the fluid force between the negative pressure generating groove 13 and the disk 1, and force to attract the disk 1 is operated. Consequently the vibration of the disk 1 generated by the high-speed rotation is absorbed, the magnetic heads 2 and 3 come in contact with the disk 1 at constant surface pressure, stable recording/reproducing is attained, and further the durability of the disk 1 is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the stable contact between a disk and a head even in case of a plane wobble by providing a projecting part consisting of a groove along a reversely tapered groove and a rail-like flat part to the outer side of a flat part on a magnetic core side of a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The projecting parts having the grooves 11a and 11b and the rail-like flat surfaces 12a and 12b are provided on the outer sides of the magnetic cores 9a and 9b of upper and lower sliders 4a and 4b. Since positive pressure is generated on the flat surfaces 12a and 12b by rotating a disk 1, the disk 1 is bent in the opposite direction to the surfaces 12a and 12b respectively, so that the magnetic cores 9a and 9b come into contact stronger than ever with the disk 1. The disk 1 is prevented from flawing due to extremely bending around at corners of flat surfaces 5a and 5b opposite to this with positive pressure of the surfaces 12a and 12b by the grooves 11a and 11b. By this method, the plane wobble caused by a disk waviness is suppressed to substantially eliminate the wobble in the vicinity of the magnetic cores, thus obtaining the stable contact.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a slider having few float dispersion by combining an inlet part and outlet part in the same surface and providing with a combining part wherein the spread width of a gas bearing rail surface is narrower than the inlet part and outlet part. SOLUTION: Bitten part are formed in the combining part C, and the rail width W3 of the combining part C is formed narrower than the width W1 of the inlet side part A and the width W2 of the outlet side part B. As the gas entered the gas bearing rail 3 moves from the tilted surface part 31 being a pressure rising means to a flat surface 32, it is rapidly compressed and reached the combining part C, and a large pressure is produced in the side part A. Since the spread width of the rail surface is narrow in the combining part 3, one part of the gas is directly made to flow outside the rail 3. Also, although the residual gas advancing through the combining part C is successively compressed, it easily made to flow out in the rail width direction because of the narrow rail width. As the result of it, the bad affect due to the compressibility of the gas is prevented, the damping characteristic is improved, the suitable pressure is produced in the combining part, next the gas is compressed in the outlet side part to produce a large pressure.
