Thus, the light in the direction of diffusion limit angle -60 deg. has a stronger optical output than other directions and a directivity is obtained. The operation above is applied as to the plural light emitting elements 6-41-6-4n and the photodetecting quantity of a reception signal is uniform on a plane within the transmission area in the diffusion angle.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a station staff and command operators to make backup monitoring on a cab monitor by automatically sensing the occurrence that the image of a train side face photographed on the ground is not visible on the cab monitor, and displaying an available backup picture in a station office room or a central command place. SOLUTION: Any failure in a ground facility or an on-car facility is sensed from off of an image carrier signal or None of the synchronizing signal after demodulation of the carrier signal. A plurality of monitor cameras are provided emitting respective output images (including before and after synthetization), and which associate apparatus is in failure is sensed by performing the check frequency by frequency of the image carrier signals. Whether the ground facility is failed or the on-car facility, is sensed by a ground image signal judging apparatus 13 and a on-car image signal judging apparatus 21 individually. According to the place which was sensed as failed, the monitor screen to be backed up in the station office room and/or central command place is decided. An alarm related to the backup operation is issued.

    • PURPOSE: To adjust the viewing angle of a camera for monitoring while directly looking at a monitor screen and to easily increase and move the cameras for monitoring and relay terminals. CONSTITUTION: Home video images photographed by ITV cameras 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b are composited in picture compositers 8a and 8b and thereafter, distributed by distributors 9a and 9b. Video signals distributed by the distributors 9a and 9b are modulated by modulators 24a and 24b by using carrier frequencies f1 and f2 and the modulated signals are multiplexed in a multiplexer 25 and sent through a cable 21 to the relay terminals 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b. In the case of adjusting the viewing angles of the ITV cameras, a tuner 22 and a monitor TV 23 are successively connected to the relay terminals 4a, 4b, 5a and 5b and a desired video channel is selected by the tuner 22, demodulated and displayed on the monitor TV 23. A person in charge of adjustment successively adjusts the viewing angles of the ITV cameras 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b while looking at the screen of the monitor TV 23.

    • PURPOSE: To eliminate the disturbance to other stations not being run away, by measuring the length of transmission data, disconnecting it from a transmission line when the length exceeds a prescribed value and stopping the transmission to disconnect a device being run away.
      CONSTITUTION: When a device 10 starts the transmission with the presence of a transmission permitting signal on a signal line 31, an output of a transmission data sensing circuit 37 turns on to actuate a data length counter 38. The counter 38 counts the transmitted data length with a clock signal serving as an output of a transmission clock generating circuit 39, and if the length exceeds a specified value, it is discriminated as runaway to turn on the output of the counter 38. Thus, an FF44 is set, an AND gate 49 is closed to stop lighting of a light emitting diode 18, an AND gate 47 is closed to turn on the transmission permission signal of the signal line 31. Further, an indicating lamp is lighted and the generation of runaway is informed.
