    • PURPOSE:To enable smooth printing free of fusing or abnormal transfer and obtain an image free of contamination or formation of voids due to friction with a thermal head and having excellent transparency and sufficient color density, by providing a specified thin film of a silicone resin by curing a curable- type silicone resin in a three-dimensional form through cross-linking. CONSTITUTION:The OHP film comprises a printing film 1, a dyeable resin layer 2 and a cured silicone resin layer 3. The cured silicone resin is obtained by bringing a silicone resin into an addition reaction with polyorganosiloxane by heating in the presence of a catalyst such as chloroplatinic acid to obtain a three-dimensional structure, or by bringing the silicone resin into an addition reaction by irradiation with UV rays to obtain a three-dimensional structure. The cured silicone layer is obtained by a method wherein a silicone resin is mixed with a catalyst for curing, the mixture is diluted with an organic solvent to an appropriate concentration, the diluted mixture is applied to the resin layer 2, is dried, and is cured by heating at 100-150 deg.C for about 1-5min, or by irradiating it with UV ray from a mercury lamp with a dose of ordinarily 100mj/cm . The thickness of the film is 0.03-0.30g/m as dried weight.

    • PURPOSE:To enable smooth printing and ensure that a dyed resin layer is protected by a surface layer after printing, by providing a resin layer to be dyed on a raw printing paper and providing a low energy surface layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:A resin liquid comprising 20 parts of a saturated linear polyester resin and 80 parts of methyl ethyl ketone is applied to a wood free paper, followed by drying to provide the resin layer to be dye, and a surface protective resin liquid comprising 2 parts of a silicone resin, 0.1 part of activated platinum catalyst and 97.9 parts of hexane is applied to the resin layer, followed by hardening by heating to obtain a thermal transfer recording paper having a three-layer construction composed of the raw paper, the resin layer to be dyed and the low energy surface layer. A thermal transfer ribbon and the thermal transfer recording paper are laminated, and the laminate is heated from the back side of the ribbon by a thermal head to print. Accordingly, not any fusion occurs between the ribbon and the paper, both of them can be clearly released from each other, and images with favorable color density can be obtained.
