    • PURPOSE:To prevent the development of solidified shell by joining molten steel in a tundish poured through a molten steel discharging hole of an inner tube and molten steel in a mold sucked through a molten steel sucking hole of an outer tube at the inner part of the outer tube and flowing the molten metal into the molten from a discharging hole of the outer tube. CONSTITUTION:In the double tube nozzle 10, the molten steel in the tundish 1 is flowed into the inner tube 12 and the molten steel in the mold, which is out of the outer tube 11, is sucked from the molten steel sucking hole 13 with kinetic energy of the molten steel flowed through the molten steel discharging hole 15 of the inner tube 12. Jet pump action flowed into the mold toward the short wall 5 side through the molten steel discharging hole 14 of the outer tube 11 by joining with the molten steel from the inner tube 12, is generated and the forced convection is developed to the molten steel in the mold. By this method, the molten steel flowing velocity at the fixed short wall curving part can be made high and also the flowing velocity at the molten steel surface near the nozzle 10 is made high to eliminate stagnation of the molten steel. Further, the development of the solidified shells at the short wall curving part and the outer surface of the nozzle is prevented and the occurrence of breakout and the surface crack at the long wall side in the mold can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the development of breakout, etc., caused by solidified shell developing on a short side member by setting exciting device between refractory and cooling member surrounding the refractory being the tapered short side members downward constituting both end sides of a mold. CONSTITUTION:Into the mold constituted of one pair of the cooling belts 4 and the tapered downward short side members 5 at both ends, the molten steel 2 is supplied from a tundish 1 through a nozzle 3, cooled and solidified with the cooling pads 6 supporting and cooling the cooling belts 4 to obtain the cast slab. In the above continuous casting apparatus, the short side member 5 is constituted of the refractory 9 having tapered shape downward and excellent heat insulation and cooling member 10 surrounding the refractory 9 except at least inner face of the mold. Further, the exciting device 11 of actuator, etc., composed of piezoelectric element is arranged at between the above refractory 9 and cooling member 10. By this method, the solidified shell developed on the short side member 5 is separated from the solidified shell on the cooling belt 4 and the developments of the breakout and double skin caused by crack of the solidified shell are prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the following property and sealing performance of a seal case stabilized to the use for a long period by providing such a means as preventing foreign matters from invading a gap formed on the outer peripheral side of a seal case, by the upper part of an O ring and the inner peripheral side of a cover and holding lubricant water therein. SOLUTION: In a sealing device, a case 5b in which a seat ring 7 is stored and fixed is fixed on the upper surface of flange 8 fixed to a spindle 1 and a seal ring 6 is pressed on this seat ring 7. On the other hand, the seal ring 6 is stored and fixed to a case 5a so that the seal ring 6 may be attached to/detached from the seal case 4. And a pump casing 12a provided with a cover 11 for surrounding the spindle 1 and flange 8 is attached so as to seal a gap between the seal case 4 and the cover 11 and the seal ring 6 is pressed on the seat ring 7 by means of a coil spring 2. By means of such a constitution, foreign matters are prevented from invading a gap formed between the upper part of a O ring 3 and the inner peripheral side of the cover 11 on the outer peripheral side of the seal case 4.

    • PURPOSE:To carry out stable aerial operation for a long time and to dispense with maintenance in an end face type shaft sealing device used for a rainwater drain pump or the like operated in the air by providing a means which rolls in sealing fluid by means of a rotary ring and feeds it to a sliding face. CONSTITUTION:A rotary ring 8 is fixed in a rotary flange 9 integrated with a rotary shaft 1, and a blade 10 and a through hole 11... are arranged in the inside of the rotary ring 8. A circumferential groove is arranged on the sliding face of the blade 10, and the through hole 11 is arranged on the circumferential groove. On the other hand, a fixed ring 7 fixed in a fixed flange 5 via a secondary seal 4 and an elastic body 6 is arranged in a casing 3 while pressed against the rotary ring 8. Air inside the casing 3 is entrained by means of the blade 10 arranged in the rotary ring 8 so as to be led to the sliding face, and consequently, the rotary ring 8 and the fixed ring 7 are cooled. The sliding face of the rotary ring 8 is formed of a coating made of silicon carbide or the like, while the sliding face of the fixed ring 7 is formed of a coating made of tungsten carbide group cemented carbide or the like.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease surface pressure and to enable air operation to be conducted for a long period without injecting lubricating water from a pump outside portion by supporting at least one casing for holding a sliding member fixed to a rotary shaft by means of a surface pressure adjusting member and a spring. CONSTITUTION:In a vertical shaft pump like a rainwater drainage pump in which air operation is performed, a spring member 8 is fixed in a holder 6 fixed to a rotary shaft 1, and a seal case 5 wherein a seal ring 3b is fixed is attached on the upper part of the spring member 8, so as to be energized upward by the spring member 8. A surface pressure adjusting member 4 made of materials whose coefficient of thermal expansion is large, and attached to the rotary shaft 1 is attached on the upper part of the seal case 5, so as to be axially moved freely in a state where the seal case 5 is pinched between the spring member 7 and the surface pressure adjusting member 4. Moreover a fixed side seal ring 3a is fixed and arranged to a housing 2 so as to be faced to the upper part of the seal ring 3b, so that a shaft sealing device is constituted by enclosing the whole by casings 10a, 10b.
