    • PURPOSE:To obtain the subject container, provided with a small hole in at least one place thereof and an absorbent in an exchangeable state on the inside of the small hole provided in the container and capable of keeping the housing space for a dried plant in a dry state even if the container is incompletely hermetically sealed. CONSTITUTION:For example, a square container 1 made of a transparent acrylic resin as a material is constructed by fixing side plates 2 and a bottom plate 3 with an adhesive. A cut 5 for connecting the container 1 to a space 4 is formed in the bottom plate 3 and a cap 7 housing a drying agent 6 in a space thereof is detachably bonded with a double sided tape, etc. The cap 7 is provided with a small hole 8 and a supporting table 9 having holes 10 is provided in the interior of the container 1 to communicate the space 4 with the space housing the drying agent. The container 1 cannot be manufactured in a completely hermetically sealed state. For example, even if a gap is formed in a bonded part 13, exchange of gases between the interior and exterior parts of the container 1 is carried out by removing moisture with the drying agents 6 through the small hole 8 with low flow resistance. Thereby, the interior of the container 1 is always kept in a dry state.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the title apparatus for the regeneration and reuse of an absorbing material and furnished with a dying chamber for holding a fresh flower, a regeneration chamber adjacent to the drying chamber, an absorbing material, a means for mutually transferring the absorbing material between the above chambers and a means for heating the absorbing material transferred to the regeneration chamber. CONSTITUTION:When the drying of a fresh flower 1 is completed, a drying chamber 2 positioned at the lower stage is slowly lifted to the upper position with a motor 3 under rotation around a shaft 5, the absorbing material 6 in the drying chamber 2 is transferred to a regeneration chamber 7, the dry flower is taken out of the vessel by opening a lid 8, and the absorbing material 6 is quickly heated by heating fins 14 with a heater 13 to evaporate the water absorbed from the fresh flower. After the completion of the regeneration treatment, the humidity in the drying chamber 2 is detected with a sensor 19, judged with a controller 18 and alarmed by a buzzer, etc., and the lid 8 is closed to prevent the intrusion of moisture from the outer atmosphere. A fresh flower 1 is put into the drying chamber 2, the drying chamber is lowered to the lower position with the motor 3, and the dried and heated absorbing material 6 in the regeneration chamber 7 is slowly transferred to the drying chamber 2 to effect the embedding and drying of the fresh flower 1.

    • PURPOSE:To easily remove attached absorbing material from the surface of a fresh flower together with a coating film, by applying a water-permeable coating to the outer surface of a fresh flower, drying the flower using a powdery or granular absorbing material and washing the flower with a solvent. CONSTITUTION:A fresh flower is dipped e.g., in an oil having high boiling point (e.g., silicone oil or vegetable oil) to form a water-permeable coating film on the surface. The coated flower is put into a vessel and an absorbing material thoroughly dried by heating at 60-130 deg.C is charged into the vessel. The water in the fresh flower is released through the coating film and the obtained dry flower is washed with a solvent (e.g., acetone or alcohol) to easily remove the attached absorbing material together with the coating film in a short time. The above process enables the introduction of the oil into the tissue of the fresh flower to substitute the water, produces a flexible dry flower to prevent the breakage in handling, increase the surface gloss and improves the brightness of the color.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent dry flower without deformation or discoloration, by preparing an apparatus having a heat insulated vessel, absorbents for charging thereinto and embedding plants and heating means for changing heat quantity for heating according to parts of the plants. CONSTITUTION:For example, natural flowers 1 are placed in a heat insulating vessel 2 and parts of leaves 3 are embedded in an absorbent 4 heated to about 60 deg.C. Parts of flowers 5 with a high moisture content are embedded in an absorbent 6 heated to about 80 deg.C to provide a heat insulating material 7, such as expanded polystyrene microspheres, in the boundary thereof. Thereby heat exchange of the absorbents 4 and 6 is prevented from occurring to carry out drying of the respective parts and afford the aimed dry flowers in a proper dried state without defopmation, such as cracking, or discoloration. The heat quantity for heating the respective parts of plants may be changed by varying the amount of a thermal energy storing material in the absorbents.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a dry flower in a short time without impairing the original shape and color, by placing a natural flower in a container constituted of a heat insulating material, etc., embedding the natural flower in a dehumidified and heated powdery or granular absorbent material and preventing water from entering the interior of the container. CONSTITUTION:A natural flower is placed in a container constituted of a heat insulating material, etc., and humidifying treatment, as necessary, is added thereto. The resultant natural flower is then embedded in a dehumidified and heated powdery or granular absorbent material to prevent water from entering the interior of the container. Water of the natural flower is evaporated and removed to afford the aimed dry flower. The absorbent material may be a mixture of a thermal energy storing material with moisture absorbing material and silica gel, ceramic, etc., are used. The absorbent material may be partially constituted of a magnetic substance or electric conductor. A wire net is preferably provided in the upper part of the absorbent material and only the absorbent material is released from the container in turning over the container. The above- mentioned method has advantages in that the container can be supplied at a low cost and the absorbent material can be reutilized.
