    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device which does not occupy a great deal of space, is convenient for carrying and does not need training and the learning of an input operation by providing a key switch and a small track ball for a finger case part, modulating switch on/off signal and a shift coordinate signal into light signals and emitting the signal light toward a different reception part. SOLUTION: The pushbutton switch 13 and the track ball with shift coordinate encoder 15 for learning shift quantity are incorporated in the finger case part 11. A control circuit for converting switch on/off information and shift quantity information into the light modulation signals and a light emitting part 16 are incorporated in an arm band part 10. The shift direction and the shift quantity or the track ball 15 in the finger case part 11 and on/off information on the pushbutton switch 13 are transmitted to an encoder circuit part 43 calculating a rotation position and shift quantity and a switch interface part 47 for detecting the turning on/off of the switch via a lead line and they are light-transmitted to a reception part 31 for connecting a personal computer 62 from the light-emitting element 16.

SOLUTION: A main body part 1 of the device and a keyboard part 2 perform communication through an infrared communication line L1 provided by linearly connecting the space between light emitting/ receiving modules 13 and 23. Further, a memory 24 of the keyboard part 2 stores an individual number for recognizing the keyboard part 2 itself and an individual number for the main body part 1 of the device of a communicating party and a memory part 1 4 at the main body part 1 of the device stores an individual number for the main body part 1 of the device itself and an individual number for the keyboard part 2 of a communicating party so that the communicating parties are recognized each other. Then, while receiving key information, the main body part 1 of the device returns a response to the keyboard part 2 and the keyboard part 2 compares the received response information with key information stored in advance and discriminates whether data transfer is properly performed or not.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for easily visualizing the sleeping state of a user.
      SOLUTION: A sleep monitor system includes a sensor mounted on a human and outputting an acceleration; and a computer for detecting the change of direction of a human body, on the basis of the output acceleration. The system generates an image for evaluating the sleeping state of the user. The computer obtains acceleration information, detects a bedtime, a wake-up time, and roll-over times during the sleep so as to calculate intervals between the respective roll-over times. Besides, the calculated roll-over intervals are time-sequentially arrayed, and the lengths of the roll-over intervals are indicated by shading, so that the image is generated, where the depth of the sleep during sleeping is visualized. Transition of quality in daily sleeping is presented to the user with the rate of the roll-over intervals which are equal to or longer than a predetermined length to the whole sleeping time as an index.

SOLUTION: A single chip microprocessor 30 stores image display information and sound information subject to compression coding obtained from a base band demodulation section 40 to a data storage memory 31. Then a content of an identification code denoting a compression coding system of multimedia information consisting of the image display information and the sound information is checked, and an expansion processing arithmetic operation in matching with received data among plural expansion processing arithmetic operations is executed by reading an arithmetic program of the expansion arithmetic processing from the data storage memory 31. Since one microprocessor is used for expansion processing adopting diversified information compression systems, the cost of a pager terminal is reduced the size of the pager terminal is made small.
