    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct image distortion which occurs when a white peak pattern is projected on a display device that uses a cathode-ray tube and is asymmetrical to the center line. SOLUTION: When a pattern whose top and bottom are black and whose center is a white peak is projected, anode voltage drops in a part corresponding to the white peak and the horizontal size of the white peak part is expanded. To correct this deficiency, resistance 11 and 12 detect the fluctuation of the anode voltage, and the horizontal size fluctuation of the white peak part is suppressed by returning the anode voltage detection signal to a horizontal size control circuit 15. The anode voltage detection signal is further amplified at a distortion correction current generating circuit 1. Output of the circuit 1 is connected to a horizontal deflection coil 2 and a sigmoid correction capacitor 8 and distortion correction current is injected into the coil 2. For a pattern which has distortion that is asymmetrical to the center line, white peak image has a relatively long cycle in a vertical direction and the cycle of the distortion correction current is also comparatively long. Then, the distortion correction current flows only to the coil 2, and image distortion that is asymmetrical to the center line can be corrected.

Furthermore, a plurality of openings 9a-9c are formed in the wiring board 9, and the respective high-voltage electrolytic capacitors 14a-14c are arranged so that parts of them fall in the openings 9a-9c.
