The measuring part 16 calculates a distance up to the subject by using a time difference between light emission and light reception and inputs the data of the distance to the microcomputer 13, which controls a zooming function 4 and a lens control part 14 for controlling a focus based upon the input data and rewrites set data on occasion in accordance with the movement of a human based upon a series of operation. Thus the tracking of photographing is automatically executed and the optimum viewing angle of a human displayed on a monitor 20 can be confirmed.

The simply operable and small sized camcorder is obtained by providing a function discriminating a difference of a plug inserted into one external input jack of a main body device and automatically switching over the main body device.

Here, a connection confirmation control signal 13 is prepared, and held at 'H' by a pull-up resistance 9 when the cable 3 is not connected or grounded by the camera part 2 when the camera is connected, so that the signal 13 goes down to 'L'. This signal is received by the controller 6 of the VTR part 1 and a power source supply opening and closing mechanism 5 is released with a power source ON/OFF control signal 15 to supply the electric power to the camera part 2. Then the camera part 2 sends the power source confirmation signal to the VTR part 1.

By detecting 4, 5 with a reel pulse of feeding reel 2 that the speed becomes faster than the certain reference value, a low speed running is set with deciding that the winding approaches the tape end. Thus, when the winding approaches the tape end, the rotation is stopped after the tape speed is made slow enough by processing the speed reduction, therefore, the rotation can be stopped without damaging the tape 1 and head.

CONSTITUTION:In the optical disk reproducing device for optically reading out a signal recorded on a disk at a constant linear velocity, a signal for forcedly moving the optical pickup from the inner circumference to the outer circumference of the disk is also sent to a changeover circuit 4 from a traverse motor control device 12, and when the forced signal is received by the changeover circuit 4, the frequency gain of the main signal amplifier 3 is changed, so as to raise the frequency characteristic gain of the amplifier 3 in a band of high frequencies and small amplitudes of a read signal. By this method, high amplitudes and low amplitudes of the read signal can be equalized, and even when a data slice level is lowered, the spindle motor control by a seek control can stably and promptly be carried out.
