    • PURPOSE:To reduce the current consumption of the entire RAM at stand-by by connecting an external electric power supply line and a block of a split static RAM in the programmable way. CONSTITUTION:The turning on of MOSFETs Sa-Sb for switching is controlled by an output of a stand-by register 6 of a control means in response to a program from a CPU1 so as to select the connection between blocks 2a-2b of the static RAM2 having the internal power supply and the external power supply line 5. Thus, no stand-by current is applied to the blocks 2a-2b not in use and the stand-by current of the RAM2 is reduced to a required limit.

    • PURPOSE:To comparatively simply obtain an operation reference clock signal of a high frequency by a small number of external circuit parts by constituting the data processor by containing an oscillating circuit constituting element which can correspond to both a fundamental wave oscillating circuit using a vibrator, and an overtone oscillating circuit. CONSTITUTION:The data processor is constituted by containing an oscillating circuit constitution element 2 which can correspond to both a fundamental wave oscillating circuit 10 using a vibrator 11, and an overtone oscillating circuit 20 using a vibrator 21. In the case of operating the data processor by allowing it to synchronize with an operation frequency of about scores of MHz, a fundamental wave oscillating circuit constitution use external circuit element 10 is connected to an oscillating circuit constitution use built-in circuit element 2, and in the case of operating the data processor at a higher speed, an overtone oscillating circuit constitution use external circuit element 20 is connected to the oscillating circuit constitution use built-in circuit element 2. In such a way, the data processor is operated so as to be able to correspond to both a high speed operation and a low speed operation, and also, an operation reference clock signal of a high frequency can be obtained comparatively simply by a small number of external circuit parts.
