    • PURPOSE:To restrain a temperature rise of a print head and improve the durability and safety at a low cost by a method wherein a heat conductive material is tightly attached between the print head and a carrier to which the print head is mounted so that heat generated due to printing action easily escapes toward the carrier side. CONSTITUTION:A heat conductive material 2 is formed into a shape that fits a gap between a print head 1 and a carrier 3, and the print head 1 is mounted on the carrier 3 with the heat conductive material 2 inserted between the print head 1 and the carrier 3. Therefore, the amount of heat transferred from the print head 1 to the carrier 3 increases compared with former devices and much heat is taken away from the print head 1 in addition to the amount of heat released into the atmosphere, so that a restraint effect of temperature rise of the head 1 can be expected. When the heat conductive material 2 is made of elastic material, the effect of changes in size due to thermal expansion at high temperature can be also avoided.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a platen, and to improve a printing quality by slightly rotating a platen at each sheet when a sheet is fed from an automatic sheet feeding mechanism, automatically regulating a gap, and rotating it once at a predetermined revolution. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 16 is fed by an automatic sheet feeding mechanism 1, and predetermined sentence is printed. After printing is finished, a motor 6 is rotated to discharge the sheet 16 from a conveying passage 2. Then, a motor 10 is rotated by a predetermined small amount to rotate a platen 8 by a small revolution. When a next sheet 16 is fed by the mechanism 1 and printed, an automatic gap regulating mechanism 15 does not operate before the number of printing sheet reach a predetermined amount, it is held so as not to alter the angle of a support rail 12, and printing is conducted. If the platen 10 reaches a predetermined number of revolution so that the accumulation of small rotation of the platen 8 becomes smaller than 180 degrees, the mechanism 15 again operates to regulate a gap between the platen 8 and a printing head 7 so as to become a suitable value corresponding to the thickness of the sheet 16.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a presser plate from being broken or deformed even if paper is pulled forward, for example, to eliminate the jamming of continuous paper by a method wherein the top end of the presser plate is shaped to be bent at some angle, and the presser plate is displaced oppositely to a platen by an external force for pulling the paper. CONSTITUTION:A plate 8 depressing continuous paper 2 against a platen 6 is provided with a surface 8a bent from the contact part with the platen 6 rearward of a printer at some angle, thereby engaging with a perforation line 9 of paper. In this manner, if an external force in a paper pulling direction shown by an arrow A is generated, a component force to rotate the presser plate in a direction of an arrow C acts on the surface 8a, thus preventing the displacement of the presser plate toward the platen causing the deformation or breakage, as shown in a prior art. In addition, the presser plate is provided with a surface 8b forming a triangle, thereby being improved in regidity and strength. Furthermore, if a cutform is slacked and loaded on the surface 8b, the cutform is never caught by the tip end of the presser plate but inserted between a head and the platen without troubles.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify maintenance services by providing a constitution wherein a tractor is supported with a cover and a printed circuit board is shielded against the exterior using said cover. CONSTITUTION:Continuous paper is discharged outside a printer from a transport channel on the left 3 through the transport channel on the right 3, passing between a printing part 1 and a platen 2. A cover 5 is integrally fitted to a main body of the printer by fixing a tractor to the frame 10 of the main body of the printer with a screw 11. The cover 5 supports the tractor, and also shields a printed circuit board 6 provided at the inner bottom the main body of the printer against the exterior with upper and lower side plates 5a, 5b. The cover 5 is removed from the frame 10 with the tractor 4 by taking off an external frame 13 and then undoing the screw 11. Therefore, the printed circuit board 6 can be pulled out thereafter. Consequently, it is simple to remove the printed circuit board 6 and not necessary to separate the tractor 4 from the cover 5 at the time of checking the printed circuit board 6. Furthermore, the number of parts required is reduced, so that maintenance becomes easy.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a printer excellent in both of the setting operability of a slip and that of continuous paper, by revolving a guide plate in connection with the movement of a printing head to guide the continuous paper in a direction winding said paper around a platen in a state protruding from a paper guide. CONSTITUTION:When a printing head 1 is moved from a y-position being a home position to an x-direction, a striker 22 is engaged with an opening and closing link 19 and a connection plate 17 is moved in the direction shown by an arrow B against the energizing force of a spring 20 to bring guide plates 13, 14 to an open state right-angled to a platen shaft. When continuous paper 24 is fed in this state, the leading end of the continuous paper 24 impinges against the guide plates 13, 14 to be guided between paper guides 7, 8 and is guided by a tractor 10. When the printing head 1 is moved from the x-position to the y-position, a printing start possible state is automatically obtained by the operation of (p) and, at the same time, the striker 22 is separated from the link 19 to be revolved in a counterclockwise direction and the guide plates 13, 14 are brought to a closed state to make it possible to apply printing to a slip 25 in such a state that the continuous paper 24 is set to a platen 22.
