    • PURPOSE: To allow even a visually handicapped person to understand a content by oneself and to improve the reliability of the device without many man-hours for production of the lottery and losing scenery of a shrine or a temple or the like by using an IC voice synthesizer so as to output the content of the lottery with voice. CONSTITUTION: Lots of lottery texts are recorded in advance and stored in a voice memory 6. When coins are depositted, a coin detector 3 detects the deposition of coins and a detection signal is used for a trigger and a program of a random number generator 5 is started by a command of a controller 4. The controller 4 selects a lottery text from the voice memory 6 based on a random number generated from the random number generator 5 and converts the selected lottery text into a voice signal and it is sounded from a speaker 8. Thus, the man-hours for producing the lottery are considerably reduced and even a visually handicapped person understands the content and no worn part of the lottery generating mechanism or the like is in existence and the reliability of the device is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To continuously obtain a prescribed boosting ratio despite the wear of a brake shoe or the like, by using integrated pulleys of large and small diameters as mechanical transmission means to transmit the manipulating force of a braking wheel to a basic brake. CONSTITUTION:In application to the parking brake of a railroad vechicle, the rotary manipulating force of a braking wheel 24 is transmitted to a first rope 27 through a screw-type brake booster 25 to pull the rope in a direction A. The tension of the rope is transmitted to the second rope 32 through a pulley-type brake booster 35 to swing the lever 34 of a basic brake 33 clockwise to brake a wheel 39 by a brake shoe 38. In the booster 35, one end of the rope 27 is coupled to a large- diameter pulley 30 and the other rope 32 is wound around a small-diameter pulley 31 so that both ropes 27, 32 are pulled in prescribed tangential directions even if the shoe 38 or the like is worn. This results in maintaining a prescribed boosting ratio.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the control circuit of a system equipped with a freight car acceleration and deceleration apparatus designed to deliver freight cars sent from the hump to the formation side by starting the acceleration and deceleration apparatus to decelerate the freight car being delivered shortly before a freight car previously retained in the formation side. CONSTITUTION:After departing from a hump 2, a freight car 1 is free to run downhill and enters a recorder 3 with increasing speed. The freight car is declerated by the recorder 3 so that the speed thereof shows 10 km/h for example at the gate of branch rails 4. The freight car 1 runs toward a formation side 20 and enters a designated branch rail 4. While running on the designed branch rail 4, the freight car 1 is caught by a freight car acceleration and deceleration apparatus 6 running in the same direction on a rail 5 to be delivered to the point 50 m away from a retained freight cars 7 at a speed of 11 km/h for example. The speed of the freight car 1 is reduced down to 5 km/h for example until released from the apparatus 6. The freight car thus released is coupled to the freight car 7, while the apparatus 6 reverses the course thereof and returns to a specified point near the gate of the branch rail 4. In this manner, one cycle is accomplished.
