    • PURPOSE: To suppress concentration of radioactives such as cobalt 60 and cobalt 58 in reactor water which are most effective to exposure dose of workers by injecting Ni and Cr in supply water or rector water. CONSTITUTION: To control the concentration ratio of Fe, Ni, Cr and Co in reactor water, Ni and Cr is injected in supply water or reactor water so as to reduce surface dose rate in pipings of boiling water reactor power plant. The Ni and Cr to be injected is desirably metal ion or cladding. In this control system, optimum ion concentration value is set in a setting part 19 and various metal ion concentrations in supply water or reactor water are detected individually at a detection part 20. Then, by comparing in a comparator the ion concentration value in the setting part 19 and that in the detection part 20, the injection rate of Ni and Cr is controlled in a controller 20 so that the detected ion concentration value does not deviate from the set value. By expressing the effect of each water quality factor on each radioactive element with such equation as feedback, an optimum control of water quality is performed.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a liquid level meter which directly measures the liquid level in severe circumstances of high-temperature and high-pressure water and steam while a plurality of electrode rods are inserted into a pressure container. CONSTITUTION:As an electrode a fine wire of zirconium alloy is used. The surface of a conductive part thereof is coated with an oxide film for electrically insulation. Platium, gold or silver which is non-oxidizing is pressure-welded to the surface of an end part of an electrode rod where the electricity concentrates. In the liquid level meter thus obtained, a measuring electrode, a reference electrode and a comparison electrode which are formed into one body serving both as an electric conductor and as an electric insulator are arranged in a pressure container. Sine waves of 1kHz or so are applied to the meter in a manner not to influence a product and a test body. The change of the electric resistance when the measuring electrode comes in touch with the liquid is detected as the change of the liquid level.
