    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture monitoring device which executes binarization processing of highly precise in a short time even when there are plural monitor areas of different sensitivity levels under environments where an illumination change is frequent by performing differentiation between a difference picture between images and an adaptive binarization screen and binarizing the difference picture of the adaptive binarization screen. SOLUTION: A binarization screen adjustment part 2000 obtains a minimum luminance or a maximum luminance for every picture element of an input picture and a reference picture, calculates a conversion magnification corresponded for every picture element of a luminance value, and performs sensitivity level adjustment of the binarization screen. A difference picture preparation part 3000 performs difference processing for every picture element of the input picture and the reference picture. A change area extraction part 4000 performs difference/binarization between the difference picture of the difference picture preparation part 3000 and a binarization threshold screen and extracts a change area. An extraction area integration part 5000 generates an integrated area for collecting neighborhood in the extracted area. A object detection part 6000 detects a less similar area as an object of a monitor object.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a single signal line for plural signals to a switch part by separating the blocks between a switch and a selector in order to write an identification code into each video signal and to sequentially send the video signals to a single output line at the switch side and then to demodulate the identification code and to select and output a desired video signal at the selector side, respectively, thus simplifying the construction work. SOLUTION: A control part 2 generates the switch signals 7 at a time interval that is previously set and outputs the identification codes synchronously with generation of the signals 7. The identification codes are written into the blanking periods of video signals at an addition part 4, and the video signals are sequentially outputted to a signal output line. A reading part 11 reads out the identification codes which are written into the blanking periods of video signals. A demodulation part 13 demodulates the identification codes, and a coincidence selection part 14 confirms coincidence between a desired video signal and its identification code and controls a memory part 12 to output only the desired video signal to a terminal 17. Thus, it eliminates the need for constructing plural video signal input lines in the long distances.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a notification destination and an image recording method corresponding to a recognized danger state after recognizing the danger state from movements of a person in a monitoring region. SOLUTION: Images of a plurality of different specific movements corresponding to a danger degree of the person are registered in an image memory 106 as template images. Moving image signals in the monitoring region of a CCD 200 are supplied to an image recognition processing part 105. The person in the monitoring region is extracted for each image of a frame. It is determined whether the movements of the person are the specific movements or not after comparing them with the template images in the image memory 106 or it is determined to which specific movements the movements of the person correspond. The danger degree shown by the movements of the person is recognized by the determination. The moving image signals from the CCD camera 200 are recorded in a large-capacity recording part 108 when the danger degree is recognized. The recording time is designated corresponding to the recognition result (the danger degree) so as to improve the use efficiency of a recording medium. When two different recorded contents are displayed as the file, the recorded video is reduced and displayed and the voice contents which are transformed into characters, are simultaneously displayed. Thus, the troublesomeness of which a user confirms the recorded contents after recording and changes the contents into a file name related to the recorded contents, are eliminated and the file retrieval is made easier.

    • PURPOSE:To easily set different recording times and to improve the operatbility by constituting the titled method so as to record a picture in changing a picture recording time by depressing a self-timer operating element once or twice. CONSTITUTION:When a self timer button 1 is depressed once during recording stand-by state, an LED display part 2 is made blink by repititious pulses 21 that rises and drops every 250msec starting at a self timer starting point (a), but depressing twice the same makes the display part 2 blink by repetious pluses 25 rising and dropping at every 500msec, both for a duration of T1=10sec. When a point (d) slightly prior to a recording starting point (b) i.e. T1=8sec is used, the generation of the pulses 21 (25) stops, then the LED display part 2 turns off for a time T4=2sec to notice in advance that the recording time soon starts. Then, the display part 2 is turned on by a turn-on signals 22 (26) generated at the recording starting point (b). When the button 1 is depressed only once, the turn-on signal is generated for a time T2=30sec, and the display part 2 ends turning-on when the self timer ends counting, and thus the recording is ended. Also, when the button 1 is depressed twice, the recording state is continued.
