    • PURPOSE:To evaluate the damages of plant equipment by picking up the status- quantity data from sensors, compressing the data, and recording the compressed state-quantity data as operation history data. CONSTITUTION:Data from a pressure sensor 2 - a temperature sensor 7 are amplified in an amplifiers 8-13 and undergo A/D conversion 14-19. The wave form analysis of the data and the data compression are performed in a microcomputer 20. Then, the compressed data are transferred into a higher computer 27. The operating states are analyzed in said computer 27 based on the changing states of the pressures and the temperatures, and the histories of the operating states are formed as a data base. The data are stored. Stress analysis is performed based on the changing states of the pressure and the temperatures. The stress histories are formed and stored as a data base. Corrosion and damages are analyzed based on the operating state histories and the stress histories, and a corrosion/damage data base is formed. The accumulated damages are evaluated for the fatigue damages and the corrosion damages, respectively. The data of the recorded temperatures, pressures and the like are transferred into a host computer 50.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a hazardous exposure to radioactivity, by providing a cylindrical housing skirt of a control rod drive mechanism enveloping a longitudinal part of the housing skirt of the control rod drive mechanism protruding downwardly from a lower end plate of a nuclear reactor pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION:A nuclear pressure vessel 1 contains a core shroud 8 enveloping a core 7 and a coolant circulating inside the pressure vessel 1. And a number of housing of control rod drive mechanisms 4 housing control rod drive mechanisms for driving control rods which controls an output of a reactor 7, penetrate through a lower end plate 2 fixed to a lower part of the pressure vessel and composing the lower part of the pressure vessel itself, and moreover the housing of the control drive mechanism 4 is fixed to the lower end plate 2 aligned with a core shroud 8 with a shop fabrication having enough working space and with well-equipped machine tools. Following this procedure, a housing support 5 of control rod drive mechanism can be assembled into the pressure vessel 1 in the shop and consequently a hazardous radioactivity exposure at cutting off the housing of the control drive mechanism is prevented.
