    • PURPOSE: To obtain the titled sprayer which can efficiently wash and coat the outer surface of piping provided in close vicinity to a sealed place, by adopting the constitution that a fluid is sprayed at a high speed through many water- supply nozzles in a cylindrical vessel.
      CONSTITUTION: Piping 6 whose outer surface is to be washed is covered with a cylindrical vessel 5 in which a sparger 4 having many sparger holes 9 is provided. Water in a vessel 1 for a fluid is sprayed onto the outer surface of the piping 6 at a high speed with high pressure through a connecting hose 3 and the sparger 4 by a pump 2. At this time, the spraying is performed while moving the sparger 4 along the axial and circumferential directions of the piping 6, and the sprayed water is discharged through a discharging nozzle 7 and a hose 8 outside the cylindrical vessel 5. When the outer surface of the pipe is to be coated, paint instead of water is reserved in the vessel 1 for a fluid to perform the same operation as aforementioned one. Consequently, the works of washing and coating the outer surface of the piping provided in close vicinity of a sealed place can be efficiently performed without exerting any influence upon the other pipings, etc.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent very small bubble from ascending along the wall of steel pipes and flocculating in the top part thereof and to prevent the decrease in the heat transfer rate in a weld zone in a water-cooled welding method of the steel pipes, by regulating the flow rate of the water flowing in the pipe to a specific value or above. CONSTITUTION:In the case of adapting a water-cooled welding method for butt welding of steel pipes 1, the flow rate of the water flowing in the pipes 1 is kept at >=80mm./S. Ball-like solids 7 having the weight lighter than the specific gravity of water are further contained in flowing water 2 to tap the air bubble near the pipe wall and to prevent the stagnation thereof. According to this invention, the stagnation of the air bubble generated during water-cooled welding is prevented and the local decrease in the heat transfer rate is prevented. The temp. difference in the thickness direction which is the principle of the water- cooled welding method is thus assured and the residual stress in the inside surface of the pipe 1 is made compressive over the entire circumference of the pipe 1.
