    • PURPOSE:To prevent organic impurities from being introduced from an equipment in which powdery ion exchange resin is used by providing a system for discharging the water held in a tower to a waste disposal equipment from a filtrating and desalting tower, supplying raw water not less than the amount of water held in the tower before passing water to perform replacement of water in the tower, draining the water held in the tower and thereafter passing water. CONSTITUTION:A system is provided to a waste disposal system from the outlet pipeline of a filtrating and desalting tower. After the filtrating and desalting tower 20 is back-washed and precoated, an outlet valve 22, an inlet valve 23 of precoat, an outlet valve 24 of precoat, a drain valve 25 of backwash and a vent valve 26 of backwash are closed. An inlet valve 21 is opened and the pressure of the system is exerted. While keeping a stand-by state for holding a precoat layer in a state wherein a holding pump 27 is operated, a valve 31 for replacing water held in the tower is opened to extrude and replace the water held in the tower by raw water. Thereby, organic impurities eluted from resin, fiber such as nylon cut off from a fiber element and the additive of precoat material are discharged to the outside of the system.

    • PURPOSE: To wash a filter element in a manner so as to avoid an increase in initial differential pressure even if the filter element is not taken out of a filter body by using an acid for back washing.
CONSTITUTION: Only the valves 7, 9, 32 are opened and the other valves are closed to supply a citric acid soln. from a piping 31 to the filter body 3 when the initial differential pressure of the filter element 20 increases to a non-permissible level. The acid soln. washes the element 20 in the body 3. The acid soln. after the washing enters a precoat tank 4 by passing through a precoat return piping 8 and is returned again to the inside of the body 3 through a precoat inlet piping 6 by a precoat pump (a). The above-mentioned operation is repeated several times until the turbidity indicated by a turbidometer 20 installed in the tank 4 does not increase further. The washing liquid is discharged through an org. acid washing liquid outlet piping 34 by opening a valve 33 or through a drain piping 19 by opening a valve 18 or through both thereof.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of radioactive waste, while prolonging the filtering life of the titled filtering desalinator for condensed water, by making the amount of water flowing through a column in the step of inner filtering larger than the simple average value and the amount of water flowing through a column in the step of surface filtering smaller than said simple average value.
CONSTITUTION: Condensed water is parallelly sent into a plurality of filtering desalination columns 14 by a pump 13 for condensed water. Each column contains many elements in it, and the condensed water is circulated after said elements are precoated with powdery ion exchange resin. The amount of water flowing through the filtering desalination column existing in the step of inner filtering is made larger than the simple average value per one column to perform LV driving with high water circulation, while the amount of water flowing through the filtering desalination column existing in the step of surface filtering is made smaller to perform LV driving with low water circulation. Thus, the elongation of filtering life is contrived under the fixed amount of water circulated as a whole. To adjust the amount of water flowing through the filtering desalination column, a discharge regulator valve 15 provided at the downstream side of each column is used.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the installation space for a regenerating device by regenerating the used ion exchange resins by separating the same to cation exchange resins and anion exchange resins respectively and mixing these in one of regeneration towers.
CONSTITUTION: The used ion exchange resins in a mixed bed type desalting tower 1 are transferred via an outlet pipe 14 and an inlet pipe 4 into a cation regenerating tower 2. Anion exchange resins and cation exchange resins are separated with differences in specific gravity by the backwashing water from a backwashing water tank 13. The anion resins in the upper layer are transferred via a transfer pipe 5 and an inlet pipe 6 into an anion regenerating tower 3. In the respective towers 2, 3, the resins are backwashed by the mixed flow of the backwashing water and the pressurizing air from an air storage tank 17, and are regenerated by chemicals. Thence, the anion exchange resins are returned through an outlet pipe 7 and an inlet pipe 4 into the tower 2. Here, these are mixed by the pressurizing air, and while the mixed state is maintained, the resins are transferred via an outlet pipe 8 and an inlet pipe 9 into the tower 1, where they are reused.
