摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a switching element by generating a pulse of necessary minimum time duration for ON and OFF of the switching element in synchronization with an input signal of chopping means. CONSTITUTION:A chopping pulse from a chopping pulse generator 11 is inputted to OR circuits 29, 43. The minimum pulse width producing circuit 33, 34 generate a pulse of necessary minimum time duration from turn ON to turn OFF of a switching element and from the turn OFF to the turn ON in synchronization with the rise of the chopping pulse. This pulse is applied to a gate pulse generator 12 which controls the switching element through the OR circuit 43.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the harmonic wave of a converter which controls the opening and closing of a switching element with a specific frequency by inserting a filter between a converter bridge and a polyphase AC power source. CONSTITUTION:A filter 16 is inserted between a converter bridge 15 and a 3- phase AC power source 1. When the filter 16 is thus inserted between the bridge 15 and th power source 1 to reduce the harmonic wave in this case, the harmonic wave in the vicinity of the resonance frequency of the element forming the filter becomes large. Accordingly, the set of the resonance frequency to 6n+ or -1 times of the power source frequency contained in the AC side current is avoided so as not to increase the harmonic wave of the frequency of 6n+ or -1 times of the power source frequency, thereby reducing the harmonic wave.

摘要： PURPOSE:To protect a switching element by outputting a gate signal through a check circuit which checks and does not output the signal from the turning ON of the element to the turning OFF or vice versa less than the time necessary at the minimum limit. CONSTITUTION:A chopping signal which is generated by a chopping signal generator 28 is inputted through the minimum pulse width check circuit 110 to a gate pulse generator 29. In order to synchronize with a new chopping signal delayed by the minimum pulse width check circuit 110, a delay circuit 120 is inserted between a phase shifter group 25 and the gate pulse generator 29. The check circuit 110 checks the time less than that necessary at the minimum limit from the turning ON to the turning OFF of the switching element or vice versa in a converter 40 so that the output may not contain the less time necessary at the minimum limit.
