    • PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of noises at the time of ultrasonic claw detection by supplying liquid which is deaired by a deairing means from a nozzle to the gap between an ultrasonic flaw detector and the surface of a test body and placing the liquid itself in a state where the causes of air bubble formation are lessened. CONSTITUTION:A deairing tank 10 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 24 to produce a vacuum therein and water is sucked up from a recovery tank 23 through a line 4 and then deaired because the vapor phase part of the deairing tank 10 is placed under a vacuum. When the water level in the deairing tank 10 rises to the set value of a liquid level gauge 13, a three-way solenoid valve 19 operates to link a line 7 with the atmosphere, and the water is guided to a supply tank 20 through a line 8. When the water level in the deairing tank 10 drops below the set value of the liquid level gauge 12, the three-way solenoid valve 19 links the lines 7 and 9 with each other and said operation is repeated to suck, deair, and feed the water to the supply tank 20. The water is supplied from the supply tank 20 to an ultrasonic flaw detector holding device 26 through a line 1.

    • PURPOSE:To perform efficient flaw detecting operation by allowing fluid which flows in the gap between an ultrasonic flaw detector and the surface of a test body from an intake to flow through the gap while engulfing air bubbles present in the gap, and to be gathered at an outlet. CONSTITUTION:An O ring 8 is provided inside a seal ring 9 provided between the outer peripheral part of a holding device 17 for an ultrasonic flaw detector 4 and a test body 16. A drain groove 12 is provided to the holding device 17 between the seal ring 9 and O ring 8 opposite the surface of the test body 16 and this drain groove 12 is connected to a drain port 3 which is led out of the holding device 17. An outlet groove 7 is provided inside the O ring 8 of the holding device 17 and outside the gap 15 and the outlet groove 7 is connected to an outlet 2 led out of the holding device 17. Consequently, the fluid which flows in the gap 15 from the intake 1 flows out of the outlet 2 through the outlet groove 7 while engulfing air bubbles present in the gap 15, the air bubbles in the gap 15 are removed, and water sealing is attained by the O ring 8. Water leaking from the O ring 8 is discharged from the drain port 3 through the drain groove 12, so there is no leak of water from the device to the outside.
