CONSTITUTION:Data communication is carried out between a host computuer 1 and terminals A-C respectively via a node 3 at the host side, a loop transmission line 8 and nodes 5-1-5-3 at the terminal side. Processing 10 is carried out at an interval ti for times ts-1-ts-3 when the first fixed length of a frame is sent. The first frame is regarded as control signals CS-1-CS-3 sent from the computer 1 at nodes 5-1-5-3. Then the reception processing 11 is carried out. The storage of signals is started immediately after the end of the processing 11. The transmission processing 13 is carried out immediately when the time tp elapses since the processing 12 is through with nodes 5-1-5-3. Then the reception processing 14 is carried out immediately at the node 3. Then transmission processing 15 is carried out at this time point since a frame of a fixed length to be sent to the terminal is stored.

      CONSTITUTION: The repeater 3 is connected to a reference network 1 of a local inter-network communication system, and local ring networks 2 having local ring numbers #5, #7, #8 and local ring networks 2 having local ring numbers #1, #6, #9 are connected to each repeaer 3. Stations ST4, 5 are connected to the local ring network 2 and ST numbers #25, 21 are given respectively to the ST 4, 5. Then the destination address and the sender address of the communication frame relayed by each repeater 3 are converted and the network is managed unitarily while each ST connected to different local network does not grasp the local network number.

When detecting that the PCIF is ''1'', the circuit 46 informs the status to a channel sequence control part 25, which stores the residual count left in a count register 34 in a CCW counting area. The data length of actually transferred data can be detected by making the program refer the area.

    • PURPOSE:To take a basic procedure terminal device which is different from each kind of terminal devices part in a network easily by allowing the network to relay all signals corresponded among terminals connected to this system in the unit of frames having a short fixed length when the terminals make communication mutually. CONSTITUTION:A frame processing section 3 sections all signals from a subscriber (SUB: terminal device or host computer concretely) into a fixed length, adds a header to each and trasmits each to an opposite station ST as a frame. Further, the header part is eliminated from the frame transmitted from the opposite station and outputs the result to the subscriber SUB without intermission. The frame processing section of each station, after the internal initialization is finished, starts a DMA for the frame reception from each subscriber and the loop. When the signal having a designated length is received, the DMA end interruption is generated. The nixt reception buffer address and data length are set in the program started by the DMA interruption and the DMA is restarted.
