摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for an elevator with a simple structure and satisfactory riding comfortableness at low cost by directly setting a roller support member for supporting a side rolling roller and a front rolling roller on a car frame, and constituting each roller by use of an elastic material. SOLUTION: A side rolling roller support member 6 is provided vertically to a roller support member 4 set horizontally on the part of a car frame, and side rolling rollers 3a, 3b are rotatably pivoted thereto. A front rolling roller 2 is rotatably pivoted to a front rolling roller support member 7 provided vertically to the roller support member 4 and at a right angle to the side rolling roller support member 6. The roller support member 4 is fixed to a car frame by a fixing bolt 22. The side rolling rollers 3a, 3b and the front rolling roller 2 are formed of elastic bodies having characteristics of absorbing and damping the vibration of a rising and falling body. According to this satisfactory riding comfortableness can be provided without using a mechanical machined part or vibration isolating spring.

SOLUTION: In a link mechanism 81 fitted so as to overhang sideway, including the lower part of a lock 7 fitted in the middle of the bottom of a tread 61' for inspection, its supporting rod 81 is always overhung sideway by the elastic force of a spring and fitted in a supporting hole, so that the tread 61' engages with a staircase 6', however, a key is inserted in the lock 7 and operated at the time of inspecting an escalator. As a result, the supporting rod 81 is moved inwards against the elastic force of the spring, and comes off from the supporting hole 65 to release an engagement condition between the tread 61' and the staircase 6'.

In the canvas 1, polyester fiber or polyamide fiber is used for a first layer, which is positioned most outside, and the tension member 2 is formed of a fabric including a first vertical yarn 21 of aramide fiber and a second vertical yarn 22 for binder, which is arranged along the first vertical yarn 21 and which has a diameter narrower than that of the first vertical yarn 21, and a lateral yarn 23 woven in the second vertical yarn 22, and while pre-tension is given to the tension member 2. In this case, the lateral yarn is a fiber having a thickness at 1/2 or less of the first vertical yarn. The tension member 2 has a width at 20-50 mm.
