摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the freezing and the breakage of a heat pipe by a method wherein a substance (e.g., fibers) capable of causing a capilary phenomenon to take place from the interior to the exterior of the heat pipe is arranged so that the liquid within the heat pipe is directed outside the pipe. CONSTITUTION:The substance, that is, a fibrous strand 14, which is capable of causing a capilary phenomenon to take place from one end of the heat pipe 12 to a liquid receiving tank 32 is provided. When the operation of the heat pipe 12 is stopped, the operation liquid 18 stored in one end of the heat pipe 12 permeates the fibrous strand 14 due to its surface tension and is transferred into the liquid receiving tank 32 through a sealed pipe 30. The fibrous strand 14 is shown extending up to the tank 32 but in practice, it is sufficient for the wick to extend only up to one end (the inlet port) of the sealed pipe 30 because if the tank 32 is arranged lower (closer to the ground) than a heat exchange section 20, then the falling of the operation liquid 20 due to gravity could by utilized.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the heat loss due to heat transfer by convection by a method wherein a convection heat loss reducer is interposed between the heat collecting fins of a heat collector and a solar rays transmitting body and said reducer consists of quadrilateral cellular structure made of band film. CONSTITUTION:A convection heat loss reducer is installed between fins provided in contact with the heat transfer medium pipe of a heat collector and a solar rays transmitting body and formed by jointing the film 10, which is supported by a film fixing frame 9, at their junctions 10a and 10b so as to make rhombic cellular structure. In order to make said reducer, firstly, the fixing frame 9 having a nearly same shape as the outer shape of the heat collecting fins; secondly, a set of two resin band films 10, one of which is put upon the other, is past through the slits 9a of the fixing frame 9 so as to be disposed in tension in the form of zigzag in the fixing frame 9; finally, the films 10 adjacent to each other are welded together by pressure at their junctions 10a and 10b in order to complete the reducer with rhombic cellular structure.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a heat pipe from being broken due to freezing of water, by a method wherein wicks are discontinuously placed to dispersely hold water after the operation of a heat pipe is stopped, so that there are sufficient spaces for absording the volume expansion of water when water is frozen. CONSTITUTION:The heat pipe 1 in which water 6 serving as a heat-transmitting medium is sealed consists of a heat-receiving part 2, a heat-radiating part 3 and a heat- insulating part 7, and a plurality of cylindrical wicks 4 are provided in contact with the inside wall of the heat pipe 1 in a discontinuous manner at one or more parts in the axial direction of the heat pipe 1. The length 8 of the wick 4 varies depending on the head of the capillary tube of the wick. For example, when a copper-made net of 100 mesh is used as the wick, the lenght 8 of the wick is set to be about 25-50mm., and the length of each of gaps 5 is set to be about 5-15mm.. When the heat pipe is operated, water held in each of the wicks is evaporated, transfers heat to the heat- radiating part 3, is condensed in the part 3, and condensed water is returned to the lowermost part of the pipe while replenishing water. When the operation of the heat pipe is stopped, water is dispersely held in the wicks, so that the heat pipe is not broken even when water is frozen.

SOLUTION: A gaseous halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon is decomposed and converted into a hydrogen halide, carbon monoxide and/or carbon dioxide by adding hydrogen and steam to the gaseous halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon and bringing the hydrogen/steam-added hydrocarbon at a temperature of 300-600°C into contact with a catalyst obtained by depositing at least one active component selected from among Mo, W, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, V, Pt, Pd, Rh and Ru on a carrier consisting of any of alumina, alumina-silica and mordenite. The gaseous halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon can be converted at one step into a hydrogen halide, carbon monoxide and/or carbon dioxide by adding hydrogen and steam to the gaseous halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon. SOLUTION: In the laminated micro-reactor, a plurality of channel substrates with at least one channel formed thereon are piled on a flat metal plate, and a catalyst layer is formed on the surface of the channel. A blade edge having a sharp blade on the periphery is formed along the circumference of the channel on the flat plate, and the blade edge is put into the facing plate for sealing. The surface grinding/polishing of a lamination surface is made unnecessary by this method so that the inexpensive laminated micro-reactor can be provided.
