    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce running cost by reducing the consumption of lime stone and reducing the generation of ash by using a bed material as replacement for the lime stone.
      SOLUTION: CWP as a mixture of a coal particle, a lime stone particle and water stored in a fuel tank 4 is charged into a fluid bed of each boiler 2 as a fluid bed combustion device through a flow channel 5. The lime stone particle in the CWP acts as the bed material, and performs desulfurization in a furnace. As the lime stone particle is worn away by fluid combustion and gradually flows out from the furnace together with an exhaust gas, alumina (γ-alumina and the like) in a BM tank 13 is supplementarily charged into the fluidized bed for compensating shortage of the lime stone particle, alumina is used as a bed material, and desulfurization is performed by alumina.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an undiluted liquid for mixed fuel of a wood biomass and a fuel oil and its utilizing method, for expanding the utilization of the wood biomass by reducing its transportation cost.
      SOLUTION: The undiluted liquid for mixed fuel of wood biomass and fuel oil is prepared by mixing 30 to 50 wt.% of a pulverized and powdered wooden biomass into a fuel oil being a liquid component. This preparation is performed near to a place where the wooden biomass is generated, and the wooden biomass is transported to a thermal power plant or the like as a liquid. When in use, the mixed fuel undiluted liquid is diluted with a fuel oil to be used.
