    • PURPOSE:To reduce the possibility of air entering into an adhesive or between the adhesive and the outer face of a glass tube so as to enhance insulation between an anode and an earth or between the anode and a low electric potential portion by fixing an anode cap to an anode button portion, and then injecting an adhesive by means of an injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An anode cap 4 is fitted over an anode button 3 and a hook 5 is engaged with the recessed portion of the anode button 3. As a result, the anode cap 4 is fixed to the anode button portion because of its resiliency and the hook 5. An injection nozzle 7 is inserted into the injection opening 4a of the anode cap 4 and an adhesive 6 is injected by the injection nozzle 7 into a space 8 defined by the inner face of the anode cap 4 and the outer face of a glass tube 1, so that the space 8 is filled with the adhesive 6. The possibility of air entering into the adhesive 6 or between the adhesive 6 and the outer face of the glass tube 1 is thereby reduced to enhance the insulation between the anode and earth or between the anode and a low electric potential portion.

    • PURPOSE:To realize a high focus by constituting the title lens of four groups containing a meniscus lens whose both faces are both convex faces against a screen, a biconvex positive lens, a lens which has a biconvex center part and weak positive refracting power, and a negative lens having a concave face on the screen side, and allowing the respective lens groups to satisfy the specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The title lens is constituted of a first group containing a meniscus lens whose both faces are both convex faces against a screen, a second group containing a biconvex positive lens, a third group containing a lens which has a biconvex center part and weak positive refracting power, and the fourth group containing a negative lens having a concave face on the screen side in order from the screen side, and allowed to satisfy the conditions of the expression I. In the expression I, f0 and f1-f4 denote a focal distance of the whole lens system, and focal distances of the first-the fourth groups, respectively. In such a way, the contrast of a projected image is improved remarkably, and also, an optical system whose focus performance in the center part and the peripheral part of the screen is excellent can be realized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the focusing characteristics and the contrast of a picture in a transmission screen. SOLUTION: A transmission screen 1 is constituted of the following three sheets of a Frensnel sheet 2, a lenticular sheet 3 and a light absorbing sheet 4. Light diffusions in the vertical direction of a screen are mainly performed by the incident plane 21 of the Frensnel sheet 2 or the incident plane 41 of the light absorbing sheet 4 or the lenticular sheet 3 which is provided between the two sheets 2, 4 and which makes the horizontal direction of the screen its longitudinal direction. Moreover, the transmission screen is constituted so as to attenuate light which passes through the inside of the light absorbing sheet 4 and which is to be emitted from a light emission surface 42, for example, by coloring the light absorbing sheet 4 among these three sheets. Consequently, when there are outer lights such as an illuminating light or the like, the ratio of lost lights of the outer lights becomes larger lights by an amount lost when the outer lights make a round trip through the light absorbing sheet 4 compared with the case of the projector so that the contrast of the picture is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of variations of temperature and humidity on focus performance by providing light diverging operation for the peripheral part of a 1st lens and light converging operation for the peripheral part of a 2nd lens. SOLUTION: This device includes the 1st plastic lens which is so constituted that its peripheral part which is radially distant from the center part including the optical axis has a concave surface on its screen side, and the 2nd plastic lens which is positioned on the image generation source side of the 1st plastic lens and so constituted that its peripheral part which is radially distant from the center part including the optical axis has a convex surface on its screen side. In this case, a lens of five-group, six-element constitution using a cemented convex lens is used as a projection lens 2 corresponding to a green cathode-ray tube and projection lenses of four elements in four groups are used as projection lenses 1 and 3 corresponding to a blue and a red cathode-ray tube. Thus, the peripheral part of the 1st lens is able to diverge light and the peripheral part of the 2nd lens is able to converge light.
