    • PURPOSE:To prevent an uncomfortable metallic sound from being generated by solid friction while preventing a thimble rod from rotating by forming a section in a part, except a screw part of a car connecting part thimble rod to a main rope, into a polygonal, shape. CONSTITUTION:A car 1 and a balance weight 2 of an elevator are connected by a main rope 3 linked to be wrapped around a hoist 4 and a deflector sheave 5. A connecting part in a side of the car 1 of the main rope 3 has thimble rods 6 connected to the main rope 3, and the thimble rods 6 are inserted through a hanging plate 8 and a rotation preventing plate 9, connected to a car upper frame 7, and fixed by screwing nuts 12 through springs 11. Here is formed a rod part, excepting a screw part of the thimble rod 6, into a polygonal section, and this rod part is mounted on the rotation preventing plate 9. The rod part is inserted through a non-metal friction seat 13 provided with a hole of shape corresponding to a sectional shape of the rod part. In this way, the thimble rod 6 can be prevented from rotating.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the winding amount of a connecting body to the rotary angle of the rod without forming a hole at the screw part of a rod end, by forming a metal fitting which is a separate body to the rod end, and fixing the metal fittings to each other by the connecting body. CONSTITUTION:By utilizing a screw of a rod 12, a metal fitting 15 is held and fixed with nuts 16 and 17 from the upper side and the lower side, and a connecting body 13 is inserted to a hole formed to the metal fitting 15. The metal fittings 15 of rope devices are connected each other through the connecting body 13, and both ends of the connecting body 13 are fixed by a clip 14. Since the torque of the rod 12 is large, one end of the metal fitting 15 is bent in L-shape to form a part 15a to contact with the nut 17, a hole to insert the rod 12 is formed at the central part 15b, and the other end 15c is bent in L-shape to the central part 15b in the direction reverse to the opposite end 15a, where a hole to insert the connecting body 13 is formed. As a result, no hole is formed at the screw of the rod 12, and the winding amount of the connecting body 13 to the rotary angle of the rod 12 can be increased.
