    • PURPOSE:To form a negative picture with stable and sure color reproducibility by controlling an amplitude and a luminance level of a color signal of a video signal in reproducing the negative picture and providing a control circuit to a color video camera where the picture is reproduced negatively and positively. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 10 is provided on the post-stage of an inverting circuit 9 and a negative NTSC video signal 16 is controlled. As the control method, first the amplitude of the negative NTSC video signal 16 is changed in proportion to each luminance level. Second, the luminance level close to the black level is improved. Third, the 1st and 2nd control methods are applied simultaneously, according to each control method, the color signal and luminance level of the NTSC video signal 16 are controlled by a control circuit 10 and the result is inputted to a beam index type color picture reproducing device 11. The portion of the index chrominance signal close to the black level of the index tube drive signal 18 located lower than the electronic beam cutoff level is decreased to reduce the instability and unsureness of the color reproducibility.

    • PURPOSE: To shorten horizontal picture element pitch and improve horizontal resolution by forming and arraying RGB fluorescent material dots at vertexes of regular triangles at right angles to one side in the scanning direction of an electron beam.
      CONSTITUTION: RGB Fluorescent material dots 1 are formed at vertexes of regular triangles and one side of each regular triangle is set at an angle of about 30° to the scanning direction 8 of the electron beam. Therefore, they are so arrayed that one side 6 of said regular triangle is in the scanning direc tion of the electron beam. When the repetitive pitch of the RGB fluorescent material group is denoted as P, the horizontal pitch of picture elements on R fluorescent materials is 1/2P and the vertical picture element pitch is (3/2)
      1/2 , so that the horizontal picture element pitch is reduced and the vertical picture element pitch is increased. Consequently, horizontal resolution having a small margin is given a margin.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a display device using a low temperature compensation technique reducing the deterioration in the life at a low temperature time, related to the display device constituted of a transmission type display pannel of a liquid crystal, etc., and a light source for lighting the display pannel which is a fluorescent tube enclosing a mercury gas. CONSTITUTION:A heater 4 is arranged on the surface or in the vicinity of the glass of the fluorescent tube 2 enclosing the mercury gas being the light source for lighting the transmission type display pannel 1. The temperature of the fluorescent tube 2 detected by a temperature detecting element 5 is supplied to a heater control circuit 7 and an inverter control circuit 10 through a temperature detection circuit 6. By a power source 9 for heater, power source is supplied to the heater 4 by turning on a switch means 8 when the temperature of the fluorescent tube 2 is a low temperature of a prescribed level or below, and the fluorescent tube 2 is heated. On the other hand, by the inverter control circuit 10, the switch means 11 is turned off when the temperature of the fluorescent tube 2 is a prescribed level or below, and an inverter 13 is made non- operated, and the fluorescent tube 2 is switched off.
