CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk file control system is equipped with a microprocessor 41, floppy disk drive 42, floppy disk controller 43 and memory 44. Medium check flags of all files to be processed in the floppy disk drive 42 are set to 'check required', and at the time of access to the file, the medium check flag is referred to its content, and if this is 'check required', the inherent information of its medium is checked to detect misloading of its floppy disk. Consequently, the input and output of improper data to a misloaded floppy disk can be prevented by updating a medium check flag and making reference to it accordingly.

CONSTITUTION:A processor 1 reads out the sector identifier, which exists for each sector, as information showing a pyshical address on medium from one specified sector in a floppy disk 17 and referring the sector length as one of the information in this sector identifier and the class of the format is discriminated. A discriminated result is set to the class of the format in a device control block as interface information with a processing program 13. Thus, the time is shortened for discriminating the class of the format for the floppy disk 17.

CONSTITUTION:The counter consists of the 4-bit adder 1, 4-bit FF2, exclusive logical sum gate 4, and one bit (1D, 1Q, 1Q') of 4-bit FF3 to count a given clock pulse number with addition. The check circuit consists of the first to third bit of FF3, exclusive logical circuit 6 and NOR gate 5 to check the relation between the signal position changed at the reception signal a being the input signal and the output of timing pulse. The result changes the constant fed to the adder 1 to correct the lead or lag in the reception timing signal.

This terminal 1 for supporting visual direct collation is provided to make it unnecessary to perform any work to seal seal impression to be collated once, and to fetch the seal print in this system for collating it, or unnecessary to arrange any image input device for inputting the seal print data.
