CONSTITUTION: A mixed waste plastics treatment system wherein mixed waste plastics are fed into a pyrolysis section, a halogen fixation means is interposed between the pyrolysis section and a catalytic reaction means, the resultant pyrolysis product passed through the catalytic reaction means is cooled and condensed to separate it into a liq. product and a gaseous product which are then recovered. The drawing is a flow diagram showing the operation of pyrolysis of mixed waste plastics, contg. a thermosetting resin, and conversion to an oil. A thermoplastic resin waste 21 is fed from a hopper 1 into a pyrolysis tank 4 regulated to a temp. of 500 deg.C, while a thermosetting resin waste 22 is fed from a hopper 2 into the pyrolysis tank 4. A halogen fixation column (packed with CaOH) 5 is operated while maintaining the temp. at 300 deg.C, and a catalytic reaction column (an Sn-bearing catalyst) 6 is operated while maintaining the temperature at 300 deg.C, thereby preparing a gaseous product 26 and a liq. product 27.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating the water accompanying in an oil field, each of which is suitable for removing a dissolved organic compound contained in the water accompanying in the oil field, which is obtained by separating/removing oil from the produced water associated with the crude oil produced by mining crude oil. SOLUTION: The water accompanying in the oil field is brought into contact with zeolite having 100-200 molar ratio of SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 to adsorb/remove the dissolved organic compound. It is preferable that the water accompanying in the oil field is brought into contact with Y-type zeolite having 170-200 molar ratio of SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 and then brought into contact with ZSM-5 having 100-200 molar ratio of SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 .     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an increase in the amount of scattering of the subject of processing in an area near the exit of a rotary drum in a rotary kiln where agitating blades are installed on the inner surface of the rotary drum.
      SOLUTION: In the rotary kiln where the agitating blades are provided on the inner surface of the rotary drum and in parallel with an axis of rotation, the agitating blades are higher at the entrance side than at the exit side of the drum. A plurality of the agitating blades may be provided along the circumferential direction of the rotary drum. In the rotary kiln, the subject of processing gets drier or more carbonized and is more likely to scatter as it gets closer to the exit of the rotary drum. With the agitating blades made high at the entrance side and low at the exit side of the rotary drum, the amount that the subject of processing is lifted by the agitating blades is decreased to reduce scattering.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a treatment system wherein formation of dioxins can be suppressed, by incorporating therein a process for producing an oil through melt pyrolysis or carbonization pyrolysis of waste plastic and a process for high-temp. treatment above a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:Waste plastic 50 contg. an org. or inor. substance is fed into a pyrolysis oven 1 from a hopper 30 to melt and gasify only the org. substance. The resulting gas is fed via a piping 51 into a catalytic reaction oven 1, wherein it is converted into a low-boiling component, which is then cooled in a cooler 3 to obtain an org. substance as a liquefied fuel, which is then stored in an oil storage tank 4 for a while. The fuel is then passed through a piping 61, mixed with air 500, and fed into a combustion burner 11b of a high-temp. melting oven 5. Meanwhile, the non-liquefied gaseous org. substance is passed through a piping 55, mixed with air 500, and fed into a burner 11a. Dioxins in the gas and the oil are decomposed through combustion thereof with the burners 11a and 11b, and then discharged from an off-gas disposal apparatus. On the other hand, the inorg. substance from the pyrolysis oven 1 is heated together with other waste 100 contg. an inorg. substance and an org. substance in the oven 5 at 900 deg.C or above to be melted and turned into slug to thereby decrease the vol. of the waste. The slug is discharged out of the system.

    • PURPOSE:To temporarily store heat and effectively utilize waste heat by guiding the exhaust heat or the excessive heat generated upon incineration to a garbage pit in which the collected garbage is temporarily stored, taking out the heat applied to the garbage in the garbage pit and using the garbage pit for the storage of the garbage and heat accumulation. CONSTITUTION:Collected garbage is supplied to a garbage pit 1 from a garbage loading port 12 and temporarily stored therein until it is burnt in an incinerator 1. Then, the garbage is sequentially thrown into the incinerator 2 by a garbage crane 10 and a bucket 11 and burnt. The burnt ash 21 is collected in the lower part of the incinerator 2. Combustion gas 28 is guided to a boiler 3 to generate steam and the steam is guided to a steam turbine 7 to generate electricity by a generator 8. The steam flowing out of the steam turbine 7 is returned to the boiler 3 through a condenser 9 and reused. This return steam is fed to the garbage pit 1 to be directly heat exchanged with the garbage. Further. the combustion gas 28 is exhausted as combustion exhaust gas 29 from a funnel 5, so that a system can be effectively employed.
