    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time needed for settle-down of a transient phenomenon that is decided by the offset voltage by reading data after actuating a switch circuit which switches the cut-off frequency of a differentiating circuit of an input stage just for a prescribed period of time when the offset voltage for input stage of a reading circuit is produced. CONSTITUTION:The data written to a floppy disk is picked up by a magnetic head 1 and amplified by a DC direct-coupled amplifier 2. The high band component of the amplified data is cut off by an LPF6 after undergoing the gain control through an AGC circuit 5. Then the data is shaped by a pulse shaping circuit 8 and read out in the form of READ DATA after undergoing the peak detection through a differentiating circuit 7. When a reading action is started after a writing action is through, it requires some settle-down time to secure a state where a reading circuit is stable and data are delivered from the circuit 8 by means of the input offset voltage of the amplifier 2 and a transient phenomenon produced by an AC coupled differentiating circuit 3. Here a switch circuit 4 is actuated for a fixed period of time to give the short to a differential signal. Thus an AC coupled differential constant is decreased. In such a way the settle- down time can be shortened.
