    • PURPOSE:To control a luminous flux position with high precision while eliminating interference disturbance to focus control even while track follow-up control is carried out in combination, by setting the rotating shaft of a rotary mirror for luminous flux deflection off an optical axis closely to the rear-side focal plane of an objective practically. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary mirror 13 is turned at theta while its axis is set at the rear-side focus F0 of an objective 14, incident luminous flux 30 is deflected by 2theta and focused on a disk 22 as shown by a light spot 31' through the objective 14. Since the rotating shaft of the mirror is on the focus of the objective 14, the optical axis of the incident luminous flux passing through the focus is at right angles to the disk, and the reflected luminous flux by the disk travels backward through the same path with the incident luminous flux. In practice, as the rotating shaft of the mirror is put closer to the rear-side focal plane of the objective, interference disturbance to focus control by track follow-up control, etc., is reduced to perform high-precision luminous flux position contorl.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the effect of correcting face inclination by providing the 1st optical system which makes incident the luminous flux in parallel approximately with a scanning direction on the reflecting surface of a beam scanner and the 2nd optical system which focuses the luminous flux deflected by the beam scanner onto the scanning plane. CONSTITUTION:The 1st optical system consists of cylindrical lenses 8, 9 having respectively focal lengths f1, f2 and makes incident the parallel luminous flux of the shape long in the scanning direction and short in the direction perpendicular to the scanning direction on the reflecting surface of a rotary polyhedral mirror 2. There is therefore no change in the focusing state of the spot on the scanning plane and the good spot image is obtd. even if the reflecting surface rotates. Laser light 3-5 emitted from the rotary polyhedral mirror passes through an ftheta lens 11 and a cylindrical lens 10 and forms the image near the origin of the (y) direction on a photosensitive body 12. The laser light is stopped down to about y=f3phi by disposing the lens 10 to the position apart approximately by f3 from above the photosensitive body if the laser light is emitted in the direction of the optical axis with angle phi like 3-6 owing to the face inclination of the rotary polyhedral mirror. The effect of correcting the face inclination is thus improved.
