    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplex network system that can realize redundancy configuration for transmission line on an optical network placed between optical transmitters terminating the optical fiber transmission line and facilitate change of the optical transmitters opposite to each other.
      SOLUTION: The SONET/SDH optical transmitter being the optical transmitter having optical fiber transmission line interfaces for active and standby systems and performing electro/optic, photo/electric conversion for the signal and terminating the optical fiber transmission lines are configured to have the same transmission wavelength of the standby system transmitter as the transmission wavelength of the active system transmitter. The optical network comprises Add-Drop-Mux wavelength multiplexers not performing the electro/ optic, photo/electric conversion for the signal and wavelength multiplex switches SW and realizes the transmission lines between the SONET/SDH optical transmitters with the redundancy configuration.
