    • PURPOSE: To facilitate the detection of runout and correct properly as required by supporting a lower impeller shaft with a provisional bearing mechanism and by revolving it at a low speed and by detecting the verticality of a main shaft.
      CONSTITUTION: A lower impeller shaft 1 is supported with a provisional bearing mechanism 24. The verticality as well as the leveling are indipendently adjusted, allowing the impeller to revolve at a low speed. Then, the verticality of an upper impeller shaft 2 and the leveling of the upper end surface are detected by performing a low speed revolution accompanied by the motion of the lower impeller shaft 1 whenever connected. With this construction, the runout of the verticality of each axial line as well as the leveling of the upper end connection faces can be detected on the way to installation process for the impeller shafts 1 and 2 respectively. Therefore, the verticality of the main shaft can be easily detected and can be properly corrected whenever required.

    • PURPOSE:To increase reliability of the installation work in such a way that the members underneath the pump water turbine are built in the outer return guide beforehand, as an assembly which is installed as a foundation, and only those members in the upper part of the outer return guide are assembled on the basis of the outer return guide. CONSTITUTION:An outer return guide 26 is inverted and provisionally installed beforehand, and a guide vane operating mechanism consisting of a guide vane 30, a lower cover 28 and a guide vane lever 64, etc. is assembled in composition through its top face, namely from the side of lower cover attaching surface 52. Then, installation is carried on in the procedure that the outer return guide 26 of a built-in structure is lifted, inverted and fixed to the foundation, and the lower cover 22 of the upper runner 12, the casing 16, etc. are successively piled up, assembled and installed on the basis of this installed outer return guide 26. Thus, since there is no need of complicated jack-up operation, working efficiency is remarkably improved, and in addition to it, because it becomes a piling up process, not alone the safety is improved, but also level adjustment of the pump water turbine itself can be soundly processed, so that installation of a pump water turbine with high reliability can be achieved.
