    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten a video camera with a video recording and reproducing device by using a recordable and reproduceable optical disk whose external diameter is less than a specific value for a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk cassette 1 is constituted of a cassette case 2, a shutter 3 linearly movably provided for the case 2 and a disk 4 built in the case 2. Then, a magneto-optical disk 4 whose external diameter is less than 64mm is compact, a photographing device for letting the magneto-optical disk 4 be a recording medium becomes compact and light in weight and portability is improved. Also, the cassette 1 is inserted from the direction of an arrow 19 to a cassette port 7 and is mounted inside this video camera 5. An eject button 8 is pushed in order to eject the cassette 1. An aperture shield plate 15 serves also as a power source switch 11 and a power source is turned ON when the plate 15 is pushed down and an aperture 14 is opened. When a shutter button 9 is pushed in this state, photographing is started and video signals are recorded on the disk 4. Thus, the momentary video of about 5 seconds are necessary and sufficient length as photographing video for which photographing contents can be understood and the degree of redundancy is low.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain excellent correction effect by using a signal just after and just before the start so as to replace a signal changing at a contour part with them. CONSTITUTION:A video signal input A inputted from an analog input terminal 10 is differentiated by a differentiating circuit 2 and a waveform B is obtained by taking the absolute value of the differentiated signal. Moreover, a waveform C is obtained by differentiating the waveform B by a differentiating circuit 4. The waveform C has a positive value from the change start point of the signal till the middle of the contour (before the displacement) among the video contour of the video image and has a negative value from the middle till the end point of the change (after the displacement). The signal is compared with a prescribed threshold level shown in dotted lines in the waveform C. The waveform C is detected by a waveform shaping circuit S to obtain detection signal waveforms D, E and when the positive value is discriminated from the contour part by using the waveform D and the negative waveform E, the position of the contour and the width are coded and the result is recorded in a memory 6 together with a video signal from a delay circuit 12 as contour detection information. Thus, color blurring and fog are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To attain contour correction and time axis conversion at the same time by using a means generating a clock synchronously with an external video signal coupling with an input video signal synchronizingly so as to convert a time axis and detecting the contour information of an input video signal so as to change locally the period of a write or a readout clock. CONSTITUTION:A voltage controlling the oscillating frequency of a voltage controlled oscillator(VCO) 7 is a voltage resulting from the addition of a voltage in response to a change in an input signal to an output voltage of a phase comparator circuit 8 and a clock with a different period from that of a readout clock is obtained locally as a frequency of the write clock. Then a control voltage superimposed with an AC voltage reflecting its contour component is fed to the VCO 7 resulting that the period of a generated clock is changed at the contour part. Thus, the data interval of the contour part is subjected to time compression at the write and the contour correction effect making the waveform of the contour part steep is obtained and since the write read of the memory are implemented by the clock synchronously with the time fluctuation of the input signal without having any time fluctuation, the time axis is corrected at the same time.

The output of a variable frequency oscillator 7 is multiplied 8 by the current flowing to the actuator 5 and detected by a resistance 15. The output of this multiplication is filtered 9 and wave- detected 10 and supplied to a CPU16 after an A/D conversion 11'. The frequency of the oscillator 7 is counted 12 digitally and supplied to the CPU16. The CPU16 obtains the maximum distortion of the disk from each of above-mentioned inputs and then controls the amplifier 2 and phase compensators 3-3'' only when the maximum distortion exceeds the threshold value. This ensures the stable servo control.

Next, when tone arm which has the needle moved to the position above the groove of the record disc is caused to descend, switch 7 is interlocked with lifter 6 and is closed, and the auto-return mode dependent upon unit 3 according to the maximum detection of te movement speed of arm 1 in the record disc leading-out groove part is set through unit 4, so that manual leading-in to the auto-return mode can be performed without malfunction because the movement speed of arm 1 for manual leading-in is not affected.
