    • PURPOSE:To prevent an element formed on a semiconductor layer from malfunctioning due to dislocations accumulated in the semiconductor layer by thermal stress induced basing on a thermal expansion coefficient difference between the semiconductor layer and a substrate when the different semiconductor layer is formed in islands on a semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor layers 2 formed in islands on a substrate 1 are formed into structures each composed of a first region 2b in contact with the substrate 1 and a second region 2a located on the first region 2b. The first region 2b is set to be more easily deformed than the second region 2a. For instance, plastic deformation accelerating type impurities such as zinc are injected into the first region 2b, and plastic deformation inhibiting impurities such as silicon is injected into the second region 2a, and the plastic deformation of the semiconductor layer 2 produced by thermal stress induced between the substrate 1 and the semiconductor layer 2 is absorbed by the first region 2b. Furthermore, the semiconductor layer 2 is set lower than 20 in cross-sectional aspect ratio to be lessened in dislocation density.

    • PURPOSE:To perform the movement and rotation of other projection charts which are required as the front elevation in a drawing is rotated. CONSTITUTION:Each projection chart in the drawing of a solid body by trigonometry is given data which are represented by a M coordinate system prescribing a three-dimensional space and indicate the projection direction Px of the projection chart and a P coordinate system consisting of a lateral axis Py and a longitudinal axis Pz on the drawing and data which indicate the center position of rotation obtained by projecting a center point of rotation set in the three-dimensional space M on the projection chart. When the rotation of the front elevation in 90 deg. units is indicated, it is considered that the P coordinate system of the respective projection charts is rotated by the indicated angle of rotation, and alteration contents by the kinds (top elevation, right side elevation, etc.) of the projection charts are determined. Further, the arrangement positions and angles of rotation of the respective projection charts are determined according to the alteration contents by the kinds of the projection charts and the rotation center positions of the respective projection charts.

The stereo data storage part 17 stores data including the phase relation between the ridge lines and the face parts of a stereo pattern. When a user calls a vertical surface instructing command in the command calling part 12 and further inputs the coordinate value showing a face part to be an object, using the coordinate input part 13, the ridge line retrieval part 14 retrieves the ridge lines displayed in the vicinity of the inputted coordinate from the stereo data storage part 17. The face part retrieval part 15 calculates the angle formed by plural face parts to which the retrieved ridge lines belong and the projected faces, retrieves the face parts whose angles are in a prescribed range and outputs the data of the retrieved face parts as the face parts to be objects to the graphic display part 16.
