CONSTITUTION:An inference processor 2 and a meaning network knowledge base 3 are provided and the table processing program, which is already prepared, is accumulated as the program parts in the expression of meaning network knowledge corresponding to a meaning network. By using the data type of a table writing item extracted from the request information, the suitable program parts are selected from the meaning network, in which the existent table processing program parts are accumulated, by pattern matching, and the interface state of a selected program parts group is decided. When there is mismatching, a mismatched part is corrected by inference and as the program parts group to be matched to the request information, the whole program code is generated from the group of these program parts. Thus, the table processing program can be efficiently generated.

    • PURPOSE:To attain production of the source code of a development program by choosing a proper program out of an existing program accumulation file in order to complement the part that is not secured with existing parts, then reusing said program after converging it into a data flow. CONSTITUTION:When a parts segmenting program is produced, a parts corresponding to a control flow is selected out of an accumulation data base for existing parts. If a proper parts is not available within the data base, the desired specifications of an existing program are retrieved through an accumulation file 4 for existing programs. Thus the programs including the same process are selected for production of a data flow chart. Then the matching is secured according to the input/output data type between each node of the data flow and that of the data flow containing no parts. Then the using source code is selected in response to the result of said matching and converted into the parts of a prescribed structure. This parts is registered to a program parts accumulation file 3 and used for shortage of parts. In such a way, a program source code is produced.

    • PURPOSE:To enable even an amateur to use a computer for accurate retrieval of software parts by describing the application of the knowledge for retrieval of parts which is stored in a knowledge base by a production rule for a specific external environment, function, characteristics, etc. CONSTITUTION:The request specifications supplied by a user definition initial processing function are written on a blackboard 5 to set a knowledge source 3 for standard parts retrieval. When the retrieval is possible with the standard parts, a partial correction is given when necessary to the specifications of retrieved parts and a source program to satisfy the specifications of desired parts. Thus the desired specification of parts and source program are finished. In case the detection is impossible for the standard parts by reasoning, a knowledge source 4 for similar standard parts retrieval is used to detect the standard parts by reasoning as a basis for production of desired parts. These standard parts are retrieved from a parts data base 8. When the similar standard parts can be retrieved, the specifications of parts are completed with corrections. While if the retrieval is impossible, a fact that no reasoning is impossible is displayed on an output device 7.
